The stay was amazing loved the atmosphere and the service. A real pleasure was Camryn she went above and beyond to meet my needs she brings the a friendly familiar feeling to this establishment. I will be returning and recommending friends and family to come here! Enjoying my stay
The hotel is well situated on Bourbon Street and very close to the night life. We had an internal facing room that was generally quiet.
The staff at the front desk are not welcoming and would often seem disinterested, borderline rude. One of the rooms did not have hot water and had to move. A credit on the room was promised but never provided.
This hotel is ok, location good for the French Quarter, but nothing special. The room was acceptable, but amenities quite poor, eg coffee maker, but no cups. We had to ask for those. The room was noisy. Loud parties outside until the early hours. On Friday the loud music didn’t end until 5am. Some of the staff were nice, eg the lady in the concierge desk and some of the porters and door people were friendly, but the people working on the reception desk were without exception, unfriendly, unhelpful, unwelcoming and in some cases, just plain rude. I never saw them smile. They looked bored and irritated by having to interact with us. They were obviously on holiday when the customer service training took place. Why have people working in a customer-facing position, who are just plain rude? It doesn’t reflect well at all on the hotel management.
There was long blonde hairs in the shower upon my arrival. I made no fuss about it. I just removed it myself. The bed was not the most comfortable, a little lumpy. I was only staying one night so I blew it off. These 2 things along with my experience after check out are what made me decide that I will not return to this property. I checked out at 3:45 AM. Realized around 4:50 AM I had left something in my room. I called the front desk immediately to request someone to retrieve the item for me. I was told that security would go secure the item and give me a call. I never received a call back. I called again at 5:30 AM and was told again that security would give me a call. I never received a call back. I called again once I got home around 10:15 AM. I spoke with Chelsea. She told me that Terry in security was aware of my request and that he should be giving me a call to get my information to ship the item to me. I still have not received that call. While it isn’t the fault of the property that I forgot an item in the room, their mishandling of the situation is what has made me decide never to return. I chose this property because of its location. However, I could have stayed at The Ritz Carlton, had superior accommodations and service for just a few more dollars.
Everything about our stay at the Bourbon Orleans was wonderful. Clean, quiet, perfect location, wonderful service, and all at a reasonable price. This is our new choice for NOLA visits.
A block off Bourbon Street and two blocks from Jackson Square, this hotel was the perfect location. They have valet parking if you do bring a vehicle, but a very wonderful, unique experience. The hotel is clean and luxurious, and despite being a block from Bourbon Street, noise was never a problem during our five night stay. We would absolutely recommend this hotel again to anyone visiting New Orleans.
Pool was fabulous. Room was clean, spacious and comfy.
We didn’t care for $50 charge to check in early. We had to get our luggage stored to get to a tour and I wasn’t thrilled with $50 charge.
The location was perfect. Close to the action but also far enough away that we could decompress. Restaurants, shops and historical places all within walking distance. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower was awesome. The room was clean and refreshed every day when I returned. The staff was so friendly. The lobby smelled awesome. The rates were very reasonable and it was worth every penny.
A pretty and very clean hotel in the Quarter. The amenities were nice but the pool area was outstanding and quiet. Our poolside rooms were quiet and we slept well. A nice gym that was easy to work out in but it did not have a lot room. I will return to this hotel on our next stay.
What a lovely hotel. I can’t imagine a better location. The service is impeccable, the staff friendly and helpful. If you have the opportunity, ask to see the ballroom. It is stunning. Our room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
My college roommates and I have been coming to New Orleans every year for the past 16 years. We always stay in the Balcony Corner Suite because it gives the three of us plenty of room to spread out, and the balcony is hard to beat.
The suite has two upstairs sleeping areas (one is a pull-out sofa), but there’s enough space that everyone can have their own corner of the room. After a day of walking around the Quarter, we usually end up on the balcony watching the crowds below. The people-watching is second to none.
Bourbon Street can definitely get loud, but the soundproofing in these rooms is much better than you’d expect. You can still hear some of the activity outside, but it’s never been enough to bother us.
We love this hotel and wouldn’t think about staying anywhere else for our annual guys’ trip.
We pre paid for our reservation through Delta Stays American Express on Feb. 17th for deluxe king room, all paid.
On arrival I tried to show the front desk lady my receipt and she did not want to see it. She then tried to offer us an upgrade to a balcony room for $220 a night, we declined as we are retired and on a budget.
We then went up to the deluxe king room and it had malfunctioning wooden blinds and I knew I would not be able to sleep if you could not close them.
We proceeded back down to the front desk and said we would take the upgrade if it had black out drapes and it did. I told her again about the prepay in February and she assured me it would only be the difference between that and the upgrade.
The upgrade room was clean but extremely noisy. Very hard to sleep.
On checkout 6 days later I asked for a receipt and was told It would get emailed to me. I verified the email address with her too.
I then finally got back home and logged on to my email and no receipt! I then log on to my American Express and see I was double charged! I then proceed to try and call the hotel. I was treated with rudeness and routed to accounting/billing in which no one ever answered and the voice mail was always full.
I placed over 10 calls to hotel trying to get this issue resolved over 2 days and finally decided to let American Express handle it as I had no other recourse. I filed a dispute with them over the charges.
Breakdown:
Original payment
$1,272.46 on February 17th
$1,727.28 on June 1st
We should only have been charged the difference between what we originally paid and the upgrade which would be $454.82
I never would have had to file a dispute had the employees been on the ball.
I even finally asked to have a manager call me and was told that they would but it never happened.
This was extremely stressful.
One last thing, the male employees were polite and smiled but the front desk women were extremely rude and NEVER smiled.
The location was wonderful. The room with balcony was great. There is a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, which I appreciated for makeup. The pool was relaxing and they came around and asked if you wanted drinks. The bar downstairs has nice music at night. When you enter, the marble stairs and the lobby are beautiful. We had a very enjoyable stay.
No Water pressure and no hotwater. If you let the water run for about 30minutes before you take a shower it will be warm. Had problems with the toilet not flushing properly. They don't have a water bottle vending machine and wont give you bottles of water at the front counter.
Definitely not the high end experience that they would like you to think that they provide. Many things seemed cheap or just not a quality experience. Will be re-evaluating future stays there.
The location is excellent
The bathroom hadnt been cleaned, there is huge clumps of hair in the shower drain
Location is great. Found un flushed toilet, back of earring and a dirty ball cap when entering the room after check in. Staff didn’t do a whole lot to help. Pool is full of bugs that crawl all over you and drains that don’t work so the water is just nasty sitting there. Bugs in their alcohol drinks. Valet didn’t re-enter our vehicle upon return so waited over an hour the next day to retrieve as they were clueless. Staff wasn’t all that great except the bell hop. Wouldn’t return here unless for the location. Nothing luxurious about it or worth the price point.
Really nice stay for a conference and some sight seeing on the side. The staff were great, especially Lei at the front desk who went above and beyond to help us fix our reservation. It was nice to be in the midst of the French Quarter and our room was surprisingly quiet at night. Plus, the air conditioning works great, and the pool is a fun old-school vibe in the central courtyard.
