Staff 5 Stars!
Pros:

The service and staff at this location were all king, friendly, welcoming. 5 star service

The location is good! The bathroom was very small, tight for 2 people. You could hear noise until late but after all; the Nola!!

We enjoyed our stay

Best stay in NOLA!
Pros:

From the moment we arrived at the Q&C Hotel, we felt special. We were warmly greeted upon check-in by Arianna, who made the routine process a memorable experience, the best hotel check-in I have ever had.

What she didn’t know was that we had just left another hotel that had terrible service and not the best accommodations so this was a breath of fresh air.

Arianna was incredibly sweet and attentive. She walked us through everything we needed to know, got us signed up with Bonvoy, and even surprised me with a birthday voucher for a drink, a nice touch that made me feel extra special.

Every single staff member we encountered throughout our stay had the same warmth and professionalism.

The room itself was clean and comfortable and the hotel had some nice spaces to lounge.

It’s also within walking distance to many attractions without being in the middle of the madness.

Highly recommend staying here during your next visit to NOLA!

I liked the hotel a lot but it does depend on the specific room.
Pros:

The room was large and well-laid out (though my initial room had no useable window and was extremely small and I requested a change). The location is excellent - easy walk to the Quarter and a number of good restaurants.

Cons:

The elevators are extremely slow and erratic. One of the elevators was out of service for most of a day and at other times the door would not close for minutes at a time. Fortunately I was on a low floor and could walk down the stairs but if twas particularly challenging in the mornings when many people were checking out or returning to their rooms.

Nice hotel
Pros:

It is nice, odd thing is I booked 2 rooms for me and colleague to stay here for a work function. Room I got was smaller and more expensive. Don’t expect any sort of room upgrade if you have status. I don’t really care as the room was nice and enjoyed my stay.

Lots of NOLA history
Pros:

This place was an absolute charm! The staff was beyond friendly, cordial and helpful. We had TV issues with Netflix and Obie showed up immediately and fixed it on the spot! We saw him in the elevator later and thanked him a second time for his help. John in the bar area always had a smile and cheery hello every morning we showed up for breakfast. We booked the breakfast package and we were glad we did. They even had fresh made beignets. We also had a late night pizza at the bar which was a great way to end an evening. Lucy and Darvin were other helpful Marriot staff, plus Robert at the door was top notch. The location really made this hotel an excellent choice. We were out of the noisy French Quarter but just a few blocks away so we could easily join the crowds and noise at our convenience. Plus we could walk to to river, the WWII Museum, street car stop-every where we wanted to go. The history behind the building was very unique. It was a railroad warehouse that over time became a hotel for the railroad passengers. It was truly a step back in time and delighted that it was recycled to the Autograph Collection. Also enjoyed getting the reference info as to why it's called the Q & C name. Cozy room and very comfortable. We are heading back to NOLA in December for a wedding and plan on staying here again. Highly recommend this Marriott hotel. Would recommend to Mgt to install directional signage on Camp Street since the front door to the hotel doesn't face Camp-confusing when we were dropped off by Uber.

Outstanding Service From Start to Finish!
Pros:

The overall staff at the hotel was great—welcoming, professional, and consistently attentive throughout our stay.

We especially want to recognize Yohanny from the bar/breakfast team. She was exceptional. Yohanny was friendly, efficient, and incredibly attentive to detail. She made sure everything was handled seamlessly and created a warm, inviting experience each time we saw her. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic truly stood out.

Service like hers elevates the entire stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this hotel, and the staff were great, but....
Pros:

I really wanted to like this hotel, going in with full-knowledge that it's in two separate historic buildings, with all the complications that come with that. And it wasn't our first hotel stay in New Orleans historic buildings either, so we know things might be small and wonky. That's part of the fun!

The location is super-centralized, within walking distance to many things to see and do in all directions.

The folks working there were extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. I was recognized and thanked for my loyalty status, and given a good explanation of the hotel layout, amenities and our loyalty program benefits. Offered both the welcome amenity or points, AND the breakfast amenity or more points. And two play-money coins to redeem at the bar. Most importantly, the lady who checked us in was very patient with me as I'm hard of hearing which is especially bad after taking a plane flight. No issues with early check-in or late check-out. Again, super helpful to accommodate flight schedules.

The main lobby and bar area looked nice, but I really didn't spend any time there.

Our room was in the second building across a narrow street from the main building and lobby. Upon entering the door, they have a carpet with the hotel logo that is in desperate need of cleaning. The flooring could be described as "industrial." There's a gated-off library area that you have to ask to reserve for some reason. And a small sitting area with a cool table shuffleboard game. But one leather couch seat was completely torn up. I'm sorry, but that's pretty sad.

As you continue on it looks like you're going someplace that's for employees only before you make the right turn to the elevators. The elevators are nice and speedy, which was an unexpected surprise.

We were given a 3rd floor room right next to the elevators and a (non-functioning) ice machine (the one on the 4th floor works). We booked the standard, two-queen room (marketed as "small" so we knew what we were getting). The size of the room was fine. There is no closet; there's an open rack you can hang clothes on. An iron and ironing board were provided. Cleanliness was okay (a little mold in the shower, but not bad). The beds were firm (but I prefer that). Nice toiletries. The air comfort controls worked well and not noisy. No issues with hot water as others have reported. As a basic place to sleep and shower, all was good.

But then we noticed a few downsides.

The exterior window was frosted glass, so there was no view of anything. But maybe we wouldn't have wanted to view whatever was outside?

More disappointing, the TV needed to be replaced a long time ago as the display is covered with a checkerboard of quarter-sized white spots indicating that the screen is failing.

No shower door as is typical with Marriott properties now days, and you get the bathroom barn door, too. This particular barn door didn't like to stay shut and would "ghost open" if you weren't paying attention.

But one huge inconvenience was a malfunctioning door lock. We engaged the interior lock when we returned to the room for the evening. Bright and early the next morning, my wife went down to the lobby to get coffee and I was in the shower. When she returned, the key card didn't work. The lock flashed yellow and then turned red.

I couldn't hear her knocking on the door because I was in the shower, adding to her frustration.

Anyway, after I got dressed I went down to the lobby to report the issue. They were super caring and helpful, the maintenance guy showed up immediately, and we walked back up to the room to demonstrate the problem. It turns out that the lock mechanism is broken and doesn't reset unless you manually turn the interior lock to the open position. If that knob isn't up, tells the lock that the key card can't open the door leading to the yellow and red flashing lights. He said there's a broken or missing pin in the mechanism causing this failure and said he'd come back later in the day to fix it.

Don't know if he ever did that or not, but for the rest of the stay we obsessively ensured the the interior lock was in the unlocked position before leaving the room.

At the end of the stay, it was apparent that the property owners are letting a lot of things be neglected, which is pretty sad. They have a great staff. A lack of capital investment to keep up with maintenance (especially room door locks!), replace worn-out TVs and broken ice machines, and improve the esthetics of the second building's communal area is keeping this hotel from being great.

And with the Eliza Jane right around the corner switching flags to Marriott recently as the same Autograph Collection brand, they're going to see some of their loyalty member business going over there if they don't spend some money to keep up. I hope they do, because it could be so much better than it is.

You Get What You Pay For
Pros:

I had high hopes for this Marriott, but the stay was a letdown. The room was tiny—so small you could barely turn around—and smelled like a damp basement with a touch of mold. Valet service? A true test of patience—getting your car in and out felt like a daily obstacle course.

Housekeeping for multi-day stays is basically DIY: you’re on your own for fresh towels. The hotel itself feels stuck in the past and definitely in need of a facelift.

The only redeeming factors were the good location and cheap price. But as they say, “You get what you pay for,” and this stay proved it.

Great location with friendly staff
Pros:

Recently took a trip to the city for a sporting event. Hotel room wasn’t ready yet staff was accommodating, valet our car and held our bags. Very easy walking to and from to get where we needed to go. Hotel is separated into two buildings, we were the second building and very easy to access. Room was clean and white. Bed not the most comfortable.

Theft in Room 822 - No Accountability
Pros:

An expensive jacket was stolen from my room (822) during my stay. The hotel’s own security confirmed via CCTV that I arrived with the jacket and took it to my room, but did not have it when I departed. They also confirmed via a lock audit that staff entered the room while I was out. Despite admitting the item was in their care and vanished, management has not offered a resolution. I have filed an official report with the New Orleans Police Department. Avoid this hotel if you value your belongings.

Great Location
Pros:

Where I stayed this Mardi Gras.

Every time I visit Nola I try to stay somewhere new.
This boutique hotel was cute & conveniently "slap dab in the middle" of the parade route. No matter which way I walked, I was 1 or 2 blocks from the parade.
The bed was comfy, the staff was friendly. Small room but big enough for 2 people. There is no door on the shower so depending on the season, it may be chilly or pleasant.

Have you stayed here?
It's a Marriott Property.
