Pros:

The room and location were great.

Cons:

It was a little expensive but it is NYC so every place with this level of quality is pricey. I get it.
A bigger gym would be nice. I went to use it around 900AM Sunday and it was at capacity.

Elevated comfort in the heart of Midtown
Pros:

Stayed at the Sofitel New York this past weekend and it struck a really nice balance between classic and modern.

The recent renovation is done well. The rooms feel elevated and thoughtfully designed rather than just updated. Everything from the layout to the finishes felt intentional, and it had a quieter, more understated sense of luxury that you do not always find in Midtown.

Service was excellent throughout. The location is ideal if you want to be central without feeling like you are in the middle of chaos.

I have stayed at a number of other places in the area, and this one stands out for how cohesive and well-run it feels. Definitely one I would come back to.
