The room was nice overall, but there was a red stain on the floor. The service was great, but I was not aware I would have to pay an extra $75 per night for incidentals. I told the manager that and he said yes you did, so he made me feel like I was lying. However, he did only charge me for 4 nights and not eight. Also, there is no garage attached for cars, you have to pay an extra $30 for your rental. You can do valet parking for $60 per night. The $30 parking garage was across the street though. I will be staying at the Hilton hotel instead, parking is more convenient.
Great service, clean rooms, convenient location. Usually stay at chain hotels to accrue points but gave this hotel a shot because of the location and really enjoyed the experience.
Hotel is in a great location in Portland with walking distance to many restaurants and we were fortunate to be there on a Saturday so we got to walk down to the Saturday Market in Old Town Chinatown. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good location to stay with kids and the property has two dining options although we didn't have an opportunity to try them.
All staff very friendly and helpful!
We're the hotel was
No room serve nothing to drink on the floor.
I had a lovely time staying here for 4 nights in April this year (2026). The hotel is very centrally located so easy access to everything. It was my first time in Portland and I realised staying here that I could walk to pretty much anything from the hotel. It’s located directly opposite a square which occasionally had some surprise things happening like a dj etc so not exactly the quietest area but I didn’t mind. The rubbish trucks woke me up quite a few times! The room was spacious and clean. A little bit outdated I would say but fit my needs perfectly. I would like to especially thank the staff at both the front desk and restaurant/bar areas they were all very friendly and made me feel welcome at all times. One guy I didn’t quite catch his name but he we were talking about his upcoming trip to Ireland! Lovely guy! So special shout out to him! Overall I would stay here again.
My daughter and I stayed here for our first visit to Portland. We travelled from Winnipeg Manitoba to see a concert.
Seemed to be forced to pay an extra $60 for valet parking or we'd have to find a different parking garage further away for half the price. Rooms are average. Nothing really to brag about. It's good for a overnight stay but probably multiple other hotels that would have worked just fine.
Everything felt right and clean my favorite part was the staff were amazingggggg 🌠
We stayed for 5 nights. The room was very clean and everything in the room worked. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and an extra blanket for each bed. The climate control was not noisy and the black out drapes worked. Small in room refrigerator and safe. Coffee in the lobby. Quiet at night and hassel free. The area around the hotel was safe with lots of options for parking, dining, and parks nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
Well maintained
We recently stayed at the Paramount Hotel in Portland and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, but what really stood out was the staff. Every employee we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They consistently went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The only drawback was the hotel restaurant. The food was very good, but the service was extremely slow. It appeared that there was only one server working the entire dining room, and she was clearly overwhelmed. We felt bad for her because she was doing her best under difficult circumstances.
Overall, this was a great stay, and I would absolutely stay here again. As an added bonus, the hotel is directly across from a beautiful park and just steps away from Marsh & Mallow, a charming little shop that is an absolute must-visit while you're in Portland!
The room was purportedly “cleaned” when we checked in (clean towels, etc), yet the shower had many long, obvious dark strands of hair stuck to two of the shower walls. The shower curtain rod was drooping on a broken or loose attachment. The hotel window was filthy and not just on the outside. There was a large greasy forehead print in the middle of the window, as well as handprints. Impossible to overlook if a housekeeper was cleaning the room.
