Property is gorgeous. They have 2 heated pools which is very nice. Location is also great on Shelter Island. Dealt with 4 front desk staff members during my stay since I extended our visit Alex was excellent very friendly and inquired about our stay dealt with another gentleman on check out again very friendly. The 2 females I dealt with were not, weren't necessarily rude but did not have any smiles or good customer service. The one I dealt with to extend my stay was not really helpful and then as I was asking questions she said can you step aside I have other people in line. Well I just paid almost $300 for another night I think I should be able to have a few questions answered. Everyone else we encountered including housekeeping were very friendly.

Location and view was good but since our last visit the hotel and service has gone downhill. Room had many issues. Beds were horribly uncomfortable as well. Hotel ran out of towels for guests on day 1. Was locked out of room after coming back in the evening after a long day of medical care and not notified by staff. Too many more issues to list. Management needs to do better especially for the price being charged for rooms and the fact that ownership is the same as Humphrey's by the Bay.
Great location and great room. Water on both front and back.
Its location was perfect for our entire 4th of July trip. We were there to watch the Big Bay Boom fireworks display and having our room just across the street made everything so easy. Staff was very nice and make check-in a breeze.
San Diego Zoo is 10 min away.
We stayed here last year (2025) for SDCC and it has been the only place to stay for us!
Rudfords restaurant (15 min drive) has great “diner” feel with the best breakfast omelets and pancakes.
Hot tub was way too hot - according to my daughter (who fancies herself a “hot tub specialist”).
I loved this hotel. It was so clean and the staff was very helpful.
