Great atmosphere and very nice room
The hotel staff was excellent.. they went above and beyond their duties.. will definitely stay agaon or recommend.
Marisa was a consummate professional. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, had great recommendations for local food and nightlife, and was very accommodating. Cannot recommend a person to help me with my stay. This is the only place I stay when I come to DC and I will definitely be back because of Marisa.
I stayed at The Dupont Circle Hotel from July 17–19 after booking through Chase Travel's The Edit program, expecting a premium experience. Unfortunately, my stay was marked by a series of service failures that fell well below the standards I expected from a luxury hotel.
Before arrival, I called to confirm that my room would have a bathtub and was told that it would. After checking in, I discovered there wasn't one.
Upon arrival, I requested a toothbrush and toothpaste. I was told they would be delivered, but I waited over an hour. During that time, my calls to the front desk went unanswered, and I had to go downstairs twice before finally receiving them.
There were also basic operational issues. The room phone didn't list the front desk or room service numbers, the breakfast reservation I requested at check-in was never made, and hotel staff gave conflicting information about the Chase The Edit breakfast benefit ($90 versus $45).
The most concerning incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on July 18. I was asleep in my room when someone knocked on the door. Since I hadn't requested any service and it was well past housekeeping hours, I didn't answer. Despite receiving no response, a hotel employee unlocked and opened my room while I was inside. I was startled awake and was not properly dressed. The employee then asked whether I wanted ice and chocolate. This was an unacceptable intrusion into my privacy and left me feeling shocked and uncomfortable for the remainder of my stay.
When I checked out, I had to raise these issues myself because no one asked about my stay. I requested that a manager be informed but was told it would be handled internally. As of writing this review, I have not received any follow-up from the hotel.
Because this stay was booked through Chase Travel's The Edit program, I will also be reporting my experience to Chase, as the service I received did not reflect the premium standards that The Edit is intended to provide.
One or two mistakes can happen at any property, but experiencing so many unrelated service failures over a two-night stay was disappointing, especially at a hotel that participates in a premium program like Chase The Edit. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves both staff training and operational procedures so future guests do not have similar experiences.
Estella provided extremely kind and exceptional service and accommodation.
Very, very basic - room was Ok but felt kind of dirty- would not recommend
Hotel is convenient to lots of restaurants and stores.
A distance from the museums, although the metro helps.
Good location
They charged my card I had on file for incidentals the cost of the stay nightly after it had already been paid for. It was corrected though after I had to ask for a manager.
Good rooms, location and service
Food in the restaurant is overpriced and not tasty
Tout
Rien
A gorgeous room with so many wonderful amenities
Didn't have a fridge that I could use, there was a mini bar only
