lovely historic building modernised for a comfortable stay
Pros:

great location, beautiful building. Loved the outside area to have a drink in the afternoon sun

Cons:

I wasn't impressed with the air conditioning system. We constantly rang the front office as we couldn't control the air temperature. Apart from that overall the Hotel was great

Good property in a great location. Would stay there again if it is competitive on price.

Pros:

Room was ok but TV difficult to work as control was old and hard to read aircon was similar, need the staff to assist which is apparently common.

Cons:

Food portions were ridiculously small A side of tomatoes at breakfast was $5 which was a half a baby Roma tomato around the size of a 20 cent piece. Dinner was equally disappointing. I had a lamb curry which had 5 small cubes of lamb in it for $34.00. Terrible value I wouldnt eat there again.

Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location for Art Galleries, Questacon etc etc
Comfortable bed , wonderful open fire in lounge.

Cons:

Food was ok but overpriced for what it was. No heater in bathroom - very cold in Canberra winter!

2 night stay with our room NOT being serviced after the first night. Same inattention 12 months earlier.Towels dropped in after complaint. Again no explanation despite room notice to clean room DEFINATELYl Left on door handle.
