Warmth of staff
No lift
Always a good welcome. Lovely and friendly staff. An ideal location for the cricket.
We found it absolutely charming. I'm sure that like many before us our visit was for a four-day County Championship match, and the proximity of the hotel to the ground couldn't be better. Plenty of car-parking and able to safely leave the car for the entire duration of the match. We had one of the turret rooms, which was huge with a large and very comfy bed. The staff were all fabulous from check-in to leaving, and a substantial breakfast set us up for each day's cricket. Plenty of eateries and drinkeries within minutes' walk, try particularly the De Baga Indian at the end of the road, Santorini's, and the beautiful New Headingley Club local to the ground. A cosy bar, with some great cricket memorabilia, for a nightcap on return and convivial chat with like-minded friends old and new. All in all, a superb four days (despite our Team not getting the result we wanted!) For a hotel to get the top mark it should be exceptional; and in our opinion it was. Yes, roll on next season indeed, presuming we're both still in the same division....
- Locatie: groene omgeving, restaurants en bars vlakbij, vlotte verbinding naar het centrum van Leeds.
- Kamer zelf: heel ruim en licht
- Ontbijt: heel lekker 'full English breakfast
Ijskastje in de kamer en iets betere douche hadden ons verblijf nóg beter gemaakt.
Very clean facilities, excellent buffet breakfast and friendly staff, all in a very historic building.
Nothing
Excellent buffet breakfast.
The hotel is located off the busy Otley Road but it's location is very quiet .
Nothing .it was perfect
Paul was incredibly welcoming, showed me the suite suite I had, never knew I’d booked a suite!!
Really friendly, couldn’t do enough.
Headingley was a great place to find places to eat and drink.
The hotel is located off the main road down a really nice quiet road with free parking.
Nothing
It was a lovely property , clean and tidy, the single room had a bigger than average single bed.
N/A
Lovely old building and good size room
Very close to centre
The room wasn't very clean. Cups of water left from the guests before and a good amount of hair on the bed. The breakfast was ok for the price but nothing special
The location, easy parking, very friendly and clean.
Comfy bed
Super view out of windows and big room
Breakfast service excellent
The room was big so could easily have accommodated a small fridge. Shower strength not great
Two flights of stairs up to room
Room good, excellent quiet location and friendly staff. Good Tea/Coffe/Hot Chocolate and 1 pkt biscuits. Great car parking. Good hot water in the bathroom. Reasonable walk (or drive) to the Headingly Ground. Lovely area to explore, plus the Ridgeway Walk. Not far to a bus stop into Leeds City Centre. Sainsbury and Morrisons in the area. Some restaurants closed on a Monday, but plenty open. Grwat if visiting student family members. Quite a few guests at breakfast, but the hotel was nice and quiet. One staff member gave me ideas where to walk and there is an interesting history guide to the area.
Cobwebs in the Lantern in the stairwell. Would have liked no lift on the details, as placed on the 2nd floor.
Really handy for Headingley. Nice staff and breakfast.
Room was a little chilly and shower pressure not good
