Stunning hotel in a beautiful setting. Lovely rooms, and a great breakfast.
No shower in the en suites.
Love this hotel for the Polo Gold Cup weekend at Cowdray!
Really nice well appointed and friendly hitel
Varied breakfast choices. Good sized bed and comfortable. Tea making facility, unfortunatly no creamer.
Room was incredibly hot luckily there were two windows we could leave open to get a draught at night.
It looked as if the shower might flood the hotel; impossible to keep water in the tray.
A small party of us stayed for two nights over a weekend, mid June, for my daughter’s wedding. Although, the wedding reception wasn’t at the hotel, the hotel and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had an excellent dinner the night before the wedding, fantastic breakfast and coffees and pastries were brought to the room, where my daughter and bridesmaids got ready on the wedding morning. The hotel accommodated all of our needs in a friendly and professional manner. A few more guests stayed the night of the wedding and we all had a lovely breakfast together on the Sunday. The staff were all so professional and nice to us. The Spread Eagle is somewhere I’ve stayed on a few occasions now. It’s great for a couple of days rest and relaxation with a lovely spa and treatment rooms. The surrounding area is pleasant for walks and there are lovely shops and cafes in Midhurst. I highly recommend a stay here for value for money, quality of rooms and food , the spa and the lovely staff. Thank you to everyone who helped make my daughters wedding weekend so special.
Wonderful historic hotel, in a beautiful setting with friendly, helpful staff, great facilities and lovely food.
The Hotel is a real treat, food, dinner was very well presented but did not taste as good as it looked, breakfast the Continental was good cooked breakfast very disappointing the Bacon was of a very poor quality tasted of salt only, eggs well cooked but not free range eggs when paying over £200 for one person for one night
Quality of food.
Lovely location with a spa, free for guests to use.
A wonderful overnight stay. Everything we wanted from such a historic hotel. Staff are brilliant.

Delicious breakfast, great check-in staff
The noise outside in the morning bottle bank collecting etc at 6.30 am!
Stayed for 1 night mid week with my partner for my birthday. We had deal for spa access, dinner, bed & breakfast & a late check out. We chose this hotel because it is old & full of character & for us it was all perfect! Our room "Egremont Room" was full of charm, wood panelled walls & a lovely big comfy 4 poster bed along with a very modern bathroom with an amazing shower. We spent the whole afternoon in the spa & relaxing in the spa garden as the weather was warm & sunny. We had a complimentary glass of sparkling wine at the bar before our dinner (as it was my birthday) we very much enjoyed the food & the wonderful service from all the bar & restaurant staff at both dinner & breakfast.
Personal service.full attention to customer's needs. Peaceful and quiet. Amazing spa
For me, personally, the lack of vegetables in breakfast
Such a gorgeous spa hotel and throughly enjoyed our time here. 100% recommend for a relaxation holiday.
Ordered milk twice to the room but no one came
