Cons:

The hotel is huge,l and the elevators are only located on one side, so some rooms are very far away and the layout can be confusing. Some rooms and bathrooms are quite old, with noticeable plumbing/noise issues.

Cleanliness was my main concern. I was given two different rooms that had hair on the bed, and the first also had food left on it. I was eventually upgraded, which I appreciated.

I also had a payment issue after extending my stay, as I was charged twice. Overall, the hotel is okay but definitely not worth the money.

Sophisticated elegance, in a place where English tradition still has a pulse
Pros:

We came to Rosewood London for a few days to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and somehow the hotel managed to make an occasion we had already imagined as special feel even more so.

From the moment we entered, there was a wonderful sense of space, class and quiet confidence. The lobby itself deserves time — filled with fascinating books, art and objects, some contemporary and some deeply rooted in tradition. It never feels like a hotel trying to display luxury. It feels collected, considered and lived in.

Our room was equally impressive: elegant, beautifully designed and exceptionally functional. There was generous storage, a proper table where we could comfortably eat, and, very importantly, plenty of flattering light and space for my wife to get ready. Every detail seemed to have been thought through. The room was also cleaned to perfection each day.

What truly distinguished the Rosewood, though, was the people. After only a short time, the staff somehow made us feel as though they already knew us. The front desk, bell team, breakfast staff — everyone we encountered was attentive, professional, warm and genuinely present. Every smile was appreciated. Whenever we needed something, it was handled with remarkable speed, politeness and class.

My wife’s birthday was acknowledged beautifully throughout our stay, with a cake sent to the room, another lovely moment at breakfast, and numerous small acknowledgements that made her feel genuinely celebrated rather than simply processed as another guest.

Then there is Scarfes Bar, which almost feels like another reason to stay here in itself. We visited three times. One evening there was live jazz, another a wonderful singer, and on a quieter night no performance at all — yet each visit had its own atmosphere. Elegant, lavish and stylish, but never intimidating. It is romantic and sophisticated while remaining remarkably approachable, with bartenders who bring warmth and life to the room.

memorable, lovely stay
Pros:

great location with privacy and quiet neighborhood. very helpful and polite staff. walking distance to many attractions. excellent variety of open buffet breakfast menu. tube station close by. very clean rooms and whole hotel. beautiful building with historical details.

Cons:

bath tub height from floor was so high. it was very difficult to get in and out. which may cause accidents.
our room a/c fan was sooo loud, we needed to turn off at night during very hot weather which was uncomfortable.
