Great location. Excellent staff specially Sannah & Fouzia at reception were pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was good .
One just needs to get out of hotel and turn left for city centre attractions and turn right for Avon river, gardens and pullteney bridge .

Bathroom needs a deep clean, grout needs cleaning around bath and Bath panel needs cleaning or re painting.

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. We came early and were immediately given a room, and even received an incredible upgrade to a room I could never have imagined staying in in England.
The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Bath and close to all the main attractions, shops and tour pick-up points. The staff were wonderful, always making sure everything was okay, and the room was spotless.
I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Without a doubt, this will be my first choice when I return to Bath!
Central location, nice breakfast, comfortable bed, good shower
Room at front very noisy and I had to contact reception during the early hours as extremely noisy and cars beeping and general noise
Room was updated and clean, although clearly in an older building. We were there in August, and the a/c kept up pretty well. Loved having a Nespresso machine in the room, but took some instructions to get the right brew. Hotel breakfast is wonderful, loved that there were drinks in the lobby, and the bar is delightful. The location simply can't be beat – just across from the river, around the corner from the Baths and Abbey, and the charming Huntsman Pub is just out the front door. We loved Bath, and our hotel was a big part of it!
Hotel was being renovated while we stayed there, and while we weren't bothered by dust or noise, it did mean there was frequently equipment left in the hallways, etc. This sounds like a small thing, but the floor in our room was also quite creaky. It seems to me made of several older residences joined together, so it's a bit of a maze. All in all, just small things - we really enjoyed the stay!

Unfortunately because of its central location, the room we had at the front of the property was very loud at night. We didn’t get much sleep due to the revelry outside which is a shame because the rest of our stay was superb

There was nothing that i can complain about
When we were given a different room (511) that was actually a pleasant, bright, airy room with a large bathroom and tall ceilings. We therefore are rating the new room given.
The first room assigned was dreadful - in the basement. Very dark, claustrophobic, smelling of damp (hence the large air purifier in the room) and with a tiny bathroom. We paid for a 'cinematography' room but in no way did this fit the description. We refused it and fortunately the resident manager on the day was able to accomodate us. Do NOT accept these rooms.
The breakfast was rather poor - unimaginative and with limited choice. Sadly a truly awful cappuccino too. Staff were nice but the quality was very disappointing for the price paid. Better to look outside as there are plenty of cafes next door.
Another major problem, admittedly not of the hotel's making although they should try and reach a compromise of sorts, is the fact that literally on the corner next to it is a club. This resulted in extremely loud drunks between 3 and 5 am including loud music and assorted constant shouts. In spite of the room's double glazing this was a real problem and we know others complained too - a very poor night's sleep unfortunately.

The hotel staff were very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and Sally served us well, giving us a great experience.
