Needs a good clean!
Pros:

The staff were welcoming, helpful and polite but the room was shabby and grubby, and not in the condition the photos show. The area is good with local coffee shops and bakeries and a pleasant walk back to the old town.

Pros:

The bathroom was intensely smelly, and the space looked like it wasn’t cleaned, a lot of stains and dirty marks : in the bathroom, the sink area AND the bed.
The bedsheet wasn’t clean, there was stains and the bed frame had stains all around it.

Cons:

Although the booking was marked as paid in full on booking.com, we were told to pay an extra 500,000 dong because the ‘price had risen’.

Pros:

The room was huge. There was a big screen with a projector, which was nice. The bed was comfortable

Cons:

The photos are misleading, the hotel is outdated and a bit dodgy. For the price it's ok for a few nights. There were stains on the bedsheets.

Clean, quiet and friendly. At this price it was acceptable
Pros:

Location in the old part of town, but outside the backpacker hub. Back from the street so I did not hear street traffic

Cons:

The locking of the front gate. I did not know this until the second night. I had to find an alternative fire escape route in case of an emergency. Based on this experience I investigated this at all vietnam hotels
