Comfortable, clean, modern and economical accommodation. We'll use them again.
Pros:

Located on the A40 near Witney. Ideal location for Oxford and surrounding areas.

Cons:

Booked a twin room through Booking.com but this was passed to the Evenlode as a generic double room. In future we'll book direct.
All rooms are upstairs not easy to access for anyone with mobility issues.

Hotel was lovely ! Just a shame a rushed meal spoilt it
Pros:

Rooms are modern and well decorated and maintained

Cons:

We booked for dinner and was told when we sat down that we had 15 minutes to order as the kitchen was closing. Wish I was informed of this sooner

For a night or two, it's not a bad spot!
Pros:

Overall the staff were lovely, and couldn't have been more helpful (especially when we had an issue where we'd lost a mobile phone - now safely found), and the location was good, worked well for what we needed, and was really easy to find and convenient for getting around. The room was spacious, and well decorated, and the bed fairly comfortable!

Cons:

Whilst well decorated and comfortable the rooms cleanliness wasn't brilliant. Yes - the sheets were clean, the floor had been hoovered and the likes but things like the shower head was in need of descaling, the bathroom overall could use some TLC at a glance it looked clean but up close the corners of the shower were grimy, even the (apparently refilled/reused) soap dispenser was gunked up, the window opening mechanism was broken on one of the windows and the room itself smelt strongly of 'dog' when we arrived. We wholeheartedly accept that the property is pet friendly, but we wound up leaving the one window we could open, open, whilst we were out for dinner, and had to take the fragrance diffuser out of the bathroom and leave in the main room to negate the smell - which was successful.

Finally, and I accept these are likely things that the property can't do much about:
- you are right on a busy (and therefore noisy) road which did at times keep us both up
- the smoke detectors in the room flash intermittently all night and the flash is SO bright, to the extent when I stirred in the night I thought it was lightening, the whole room lit up!

Nice decor and facilities but
Pros:

Staff, room was nice

Cons:

Constant intermittent loud noises from the room below room 7 throughout the entire night. Sounded like an electric drill drilling into a brick wall at one point. I was woken up at 12.30am and was kept awake all night. Plus there was a bright light, like the light from a phone torch, flashing from the smoke detector every 20 seconds throughout the night.

Plus there was an awful sewer smell in the bathroom.

Not a good stay at all. If I had brought ear plugs, an eye mask and an air freshener I may have had a better stay. Refund would be appreciated.

Great location for us visiting family.
Pros:

Rooms were nice with comfortable beds, good shower and brewing facilities. Had a great meal in the hotel restaurant The Firehouse in the evening too. Perfect for our one night stay.

Cons:

Only slight issue was that there was nowhere to hang clothes. There was a clothes rail but no hangers. Not a big deal for our one night stay but may be an issue for others.
