Pros:

I picked this facility for two reasons. It was close to where I was there for business and it had a bistro/bar for dinner and breakfast. However when I arrived the bistro/ bar for food was not open for whatever reason and was not open the next morning. I came down for coffee at 10:15 and the guy at check out said they had already put the coffee up and it was obvious the bistro had not opened up for breakfast. Everywhere I have ever stayed had coffee out at least. I asked him if he knew of anywhere close by that might offer coffee and he was clueless. Also...the fact that I had to pay $20.00 for one night of parking in a parking lot with plenty of spaces was rediculous. The room was clean and comfortable except it had an adjoining room and I could hear more than I wanted to from the guests in that room. Im not sure I'd stay there again. I noticed several other hotels nearby that I will probably try instead.

It was acceptable.
Pros:

It was a good stay. The elevator needs some upkeep. But the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Cons:

The location is not terribly convenient. But once you figure it out it’s not bad.

Pros:

Very nice environment and facilities

Cons:

The hotel guests shouldn't be charged to park at a facility that they paid to stay. The hotel should comp the parking.

Confirmed reservation canceled on arrival, unacceptable business travel experience
Pros:

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Addison Quorum, and this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had, especially for business travel.

We booked this hotel approximately six months in advance for a business trip. There was a major conference taking place at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel across the street from Tuesday to Friday, which is exactly why we chose this location. Our reservation was confirmed and prepaid through Expedia from Tuesday to Saturday.

As I was about to get into an Uber from the airport, I received an email stating that our reservation had been relocated to another hotel farther away. I immediately asked the Uber driver to take me to the Courtyard so I could speak directly with the General Manager, Walter Davis.

The manager told me that the rooms we had reserved were suddenly out of service and that there was nothing he could do. When I asked why guests who booked later were not moved instead, I was told, “It doesn’t work that way.” During the drive to the alternate hotel, the manager also stated that non-Marriott members can be bumped in favor of members, which is shocking given that we booked six months in advance with a clear, paid confirmation.

Because the alternate hotel was not within walking distance of the conference venue and the area is not pedestrian friendly, we were forced to rent a vehicle to attend the event. This resulted in $540 in additional expenses for car rental and gas, which would not have been necessary had our original reservation been honored.

While attending the conference, I spoke with multiple attendees who shared something even more troubling. Several guests staying at the Renaissance hotel had been overbooked and were relocated to the Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Addison Quorum at the last minute. None of the seven people I spoke to were Marriott members. This strongly suggests that guests who booked early at lower rates were displaced to accommodate higher-rate bookings tied to the conference.

Marriott did cover two nights at a Holiday Inn Express and offered a discounted rate for the two nights we stayed at the Courtyard. However, once the inconvenience, lost time, stress, and additional transportation costs are considered, the compensation does not come close to offsetting the impact.

For business travelers who rely on confirmed reservations, proximity, and predictability, this hotel cannot be trusted. Booking early and paying in advance clearly does not guarantee your stay will be honored.

This experience was disruptive, unnecessary, and completely avoidable. I would strongly advise business travelers to think twice before booking here.
