Older building with some updating but wouldn't be my 1st choice next time.
Pros:

Staff was pleasant upon our arrival & departure. Bed was very comfortable. Room temp was comfortable for July 24th. Price was reasonable.
It looks like some building upgrades have been done.

Cons:

Cleanliness - spoon found on the bedroom floor. The bathroom fan was very loud and looked dirty. The bathroom door was squeaky.

Keys kept malfunctioning

It’s a Days Inn. So-so for everything but isn’t that why we go to Days Inn? Dated but clean. Spartan.

Nightmare
Pros:

Close to the Main street

Cons:

The smell of the hotel is awful even the corridors especially the rooms.
There are no toiletries in our rooms and when we look for receptionist at the lobby, there is nobody to ask for help
Someone at the lobby is sitting with his dirty foot up on the couch

Pros:

The rooms were newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The location was great, just a block from downtown.

Cons:

The breakfast was slim -- only coffee, cold cereal, and make your own waffles, and located in a basement that was hard to find. The facility is operated by a single family. While they were courteous and friendly, the desk was seldom attended.

Breakfast was not covered by staff and at 8:30 there were no cups for coffee, 1 piece of white bread, 2 pieces of some type of microwave eggs, uncovered on a plate. I had to go to desk and attendant got a loaf of bread and put some on tray w/bare hands. I then looked in "kitchen" area to see if that frig had yogurt or juice - can't believe it passes health inspection , the stench and dirt !

The nightmare

Cons:

Our daughter woke up with multiple insect bites, and we strongly suspect bed bugs. The room was filthy, the toilet was dirty, and we even found used napkins from a previous guest inside the bed. Staff changed the bedding but never apologized.
The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, the towels had holes, and despite staying two nights, housekeeping never emptied the trash or serviced the room.
The advertised “hot breakfast” was very disappointing—only waffles, bread, coffee, and a couple of apples. No eggs, sausage, yogurt, or other hot food.
This property does not meet basic cleanliness or quality standards. We expected much better from both Days Inn and Booking.com.
