Drury Plaza Hotel New Orleans

We took Amtrak for this vacation in New Orleans and we stayed at this very nice Hotel for 4 nights. We were given room 845, and it was a clean and spacious room, a Suite room type, with a separate living room that has a sleeper sofa and desk and chair, TV and drawers, and the bedroom was separated with a full door with 2 Queen size beds, one closet with iron and board, and a nice size dresser drawer, and a nice size night stand, with an alarm clock, and TV. There is NO personal Safe in the room, but if you need to store precious items the front desk lists that they can store those precious items for you. The room has a mini refrigerator and mini microwave. There is no dining table and chairs in the suite, you only have the one work desk with an office chair. There are plenty of good electrical outlets in the room. The room has a huge full length mirror near the bathroom.

The bathroom was huge and completely in it's own room no sinks or anything were outside of the bathroom. The bathroom has a tub and shower combination, and a nice long counter to store your toiletries and plenty of room for storing towels, the shower was adequate with plenty of good hot water and with decent pressure in both the sink and shower.

The Hotel's location is in a convenient location and is a short and safe walk to restaurants and also a big full size grocery store, and also the hotel is really close to mass transportation on the Bus Line and Trolley Lines. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help guests with any issues. The lobby has a restaurant and full service bar that serves alcohol that is open certain times of the day near 5pm and closes at midnight to order food and drinks.

The complimentary breakfast was outstandingly great every day, with a large dining area with plenty of good seating and a nice big open buffet station, with staff on hand to be sure that all is well stocked with food and a clean display. The Kickback is at 5:30 pm until 7:00pm, which is basically like having a complimentary Dinner Buffet with meats and vegetables, a starch, and a separate hot dog stand, and a complimentary popcorn stand, and the popcorn is complimentary and open throughout the day. The Kickback at 5:30 pm also has a complimentary soda machine and they offer complimentary alcohol as well. The Lobby has complimentary coffee and tea all day long. The complimentary breakfast and the Kickback Dinner were both always with delicious and plentiful food items, and well displayed.

The Lobby has an ATM machine, and there is a tiny complimentary business center in the open lobby area with just one screen and printer, and there is also some good open seating near the lobby area, and they also have in the lobby area a nice big stand of complimentary brochures to see sights and events in the area. The hotel charges guests for parking on the property, which is attached and inside the hotel, we didn't use the parking because we took the Amtrak train to the hotel but we saw that they do have on sight parking for guests and we were told that it is a fee for parking, but we saw that other hotels in the area also charge guests for parking as well in that area.

The Hotel has an Outdoor Pool that is located on the 6th floor of the Hotel, and is next to the complimentary fitness room, and a small guest laundry room. The Hotel also has a nice big outdoor patio area located on the ground floor that is privately fenced in. We truly enjoyed our stay, it was a comfortable, clean, safe, and friendly stay, and whenever we return to visit this area again we will look to Book with this really nice hotel.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank Daniel, our banquet captain/server, for the outstanding experience he provided throughout our events.

From the moment we arrived Friday evening, Daniel made sure every detail was taken care of. He kept us informed about the pizza refreshes, checked in to ensure we had everything we needed, and then greeted us bright and early Saturday morning with the same positive attitude and professionalism and again on Sunday.

What truly stood out was his incredible attention to detail. From the perfectly aligned seams on the table linens, to every soda and water label facing outward, to the Drury logo on each coffee cup being perfectly presented, it was clear that nothing escaped his notice. Those small touches made a big impression.

Daniel consistently went above and beyond with phenomenal anticipatory service. He seemed to know what we needed before we even had to ask, allowing our meetings to run seamlessly. More than anything, you can tell he takes tremendous pride in his work, and that level of ownership is rare and deeply appreciated.

Daniel is an incredible asset to the Drury team. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to exceptional hospitality made a lasting impression on all of us. Please extend our sincere thanks and recognition for a job exceptionally well done.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la piscine et le jacuzzi, ainsi que les petits-déjeuners et les dîners inclus. Le personnel était accueillant et l'hôtel offrait une ambiance agréable.

Great location walking distance to French Quarters, Jackson Square

It was convenient and the staff were very friendly.

The staff was outstanding, I didn't get everyone's name, but one staffer stood out, Brejan! Brejan and all other employees were outstanding. They were pleasant, generous with their time and knowledgeable. They made our stay great!

This was the first hotel on our road trip so far thst I had zero complaints. Everything was great. The kick back thing was awesome!

Everything to include the entire staff from the General Manager to maintenance staff were fantastic.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado , tiene parking , es pet friendly . Todo el personal , desde de lá recepción hasta la cocina , camareras super atenciosos . El cuarto limpio y confortable . Desayuno y cenita por la noche hacen la diferencia . No es un hotel moderno , pero muy agradable!
