Smelly bedding and towers. Room to warm.

Staff were superb and very friendly & helpful

Cons:

Bedding and towels were musty like they had been put away wet or sat in a cupboard for a long time. Air con did not work in the room or was, at best, very inaccurate. Room was far too warm.

Cons:

Breakfast was poorly managed left me and my family of 4, with two kids under two with out cutlery until our food was cold and we had to leave with out eating and get fast food as we had a football match to attend.

The hotel was excellent in every way, and we’ll happily return for future visits because it’s close
Pros:

The breakfast, room, and bed were excellent, and we’ll definitely stay at the hotel again when visiting our son. We chose the location because it’s close to the city centre, our son’s university, and his apartment. One of the main reasons we’ll return is its proximity to the lake, which we love walking around.

Cons:

It had nothing to do with the IHG hotel; it was just as you stepped off the premises onto public land. We noticed vehicles parked on the pavement, making it hard to reach the park in the evening. There was loads of litter from McDonald’s scattered in the park and surrounding area. Such a shame.
