The location of the hotel was excellent, spotlessly clean, quiet and very near the Park and Ride into the centre of York. Breakfast was excellent, very hot and lots of choice. The only thing that we had an issue with was that the double bed was small. We mentioned this to reception and were then offered a twin room which was fine. I am dairy free and I mentioned this to the young chap on reception
on the Sunday we arrived 13/9/26 at tea time and he went and got a carton of soya milk for me which was ideal. We had quite a chat with him and he was very pleasant and gave us good advice on a few things as we don’t know York very well. A really good place to stay. Highly recommend this hotel.
The double bed was small but the chap on reception said it is the standard size in all Holiday Inn Express hotels.

Very clean hotel. Good location only 3 minutes drive to park and ride. Helpful and friendly staff.

The room had a bit of a bad smell but opened the window and it was fine

The breakfast was awful. The coffee machine dispensed warm tasteless coffee. The waitress couldn’t find the small pots in which to put marmalade so it had to be dispensed straight on to the plate which was very messy. What was really unforgivable was the dirty cutlery and plates which had baked on food from not being washed properly in the dishwasher.
Room was good. Up to usual standard.
Despite requesting a twin room, booking.com did not pass this information on. Thankfully the hotel were able to find us another room.

The property is well located.
It was a bit noisy from the noise in the corridor. So perhaps better sound proofing.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Tobys next door stopped food at 8pm we arrived 8.03 not knowing 8pm cut off and that 3 mins was the difference as they refused to serve us.
