This hotel is very well situated and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms spacious. There is a pool, hot tub, gym, restaurant and parking on site. The staff are helpful and friendly. Although a mix of people, it seems primarily a business and conference hotel.
Situation géographique, grand parking
Des vrais tasses, pas des gobelets en cartons
We were overcharged for a late check out very disappointed
Excellent facilities on site (pool, gym, changing room + saunas). Parking on site
Very close to downtown St Johns (10-15 min walk).
Great views of the harbour and town
Nice bar and lounge area to relax in
The location and view were great, staff were very helpful and friendly. However the hotel is dated and run down. Faucets were broken and unsecured in both rooms we stayed in, moulding was falling off of the closet doors, the chair in each room were filthy and stained and there is no ventilation in the washrooms so every time we showered the windows would fog up, this also likely explains the musty smell of the room.
Everything was good...
Paying for parking when your staying in the hotel
Some staff were rude - food was ok
Fee for parking is high!
Very good
The parking lot wasnt maintained well. A lot of ice where you park so very dangerous
I spent two nights at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland in St John's on a business trip to Canada 🇨🇦. The location is very good, close to the city centre, the Jelly Bean tourist attraction and the George Street bars. There is also a large parking area around the hotel. These are clearly the hotel's strongest points as on many other grounds it disappoints. Despite renovation efforts the rooms and the common areas look outdated. Modern touches were applied here and there in the rooms or in the lobby (e.g., front desk furniture) but overall the hotel remains stuck in the 80's. More annoying was that during my whole stay I was unable to properly connect to Internet and get access to my personal and business messages. I mentioned the issue at the front desk but with no result. The service could also be improved from a very slow - it took ages for the employee to manually fill in the breakfast vouchers, a very clunky process - and almost unfriendly check-in to the lackadaisical breakfast service. The breakfast was also mediocre. No fresh fruit juice, cappuccinos and expressos as extras, no brown bread. All breakfast options were displayed in an unattractive way in a tiny room at the end of the restaurant. I definitely recommend to look for other hotel options in St John's as there are too many negative points associated with Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland.
