Sheraton St. John's is located in downtown St. John's and a 15-minute drive from the airport, YYT. The hotel is in the Signal Hill area, close to sights, bars and restaurants. The restaurant and bar is on the lobby level with the reception desk, and on the lower level is the indoor pool, sauna and a good size gym. The club lounge is next to the reception and has all day drinks in addition to breakfast and evening food between 5pm and 7pm. The rooms are nice and well planned for both business and leisure travellers, and the corner rooms offers both space and nice harbour views. Parking is C$25 per day, however there is on street parking just outside the hotel if you prefer to spend less! Parking is controlled 8-18 Monday to Friday and max 4 hours, but if you change street, then you pay only C$12 a day. Overall a nice hotel for exploring St. John's.

This hotel is over rated and over priced. Spend your money elsewhere. The rooms are very ordinary, what you would expect at a Holiday Inn for lot less money. I do not recommend this place and needless to say will not be back. Far too expensive with very poor accommodation and service.

I liked the location, great large, spacious room, the best comfy king bed.

The hotel sits at the opposite end of downtown from George St which might be a good thing as it's pretty sketchy down there. Duckworth St was not much better. It's close to Signal Hill which was nice.

The room was clean and well maintained.

We had a Harbour View room and that was the bonus of staying here. I enjoyed watching some ship come in early morning before we set out.

We stayed two night before heading up to Bonavista and planned to stay here again for a couple of nights on our way back. We wanted to add an extra night to our stay but Marriot decided to increase the original booked night by $85 as well as the extra night. The property didn't change in the three days we were gone. Greed. We cancelled and stayed elsewhere.

The concierge lounge has a good breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon and sausage with pastries. In the evening they have two hot items from 5-7 PM. The concierge lounge is located on the main floor. Limited snacks but plenty of colas. AC good. Overall, good gym with 24 hour access and a nice indoor pool. Easy walking access to the downtown areas. If you get a room with a view, it has a great overlook of the bay. Good friendly staff.

Beautiful, clean well maintained hotel with great views, Fantastic friendly staff...great room with water view, comfortable bed and large size tv for viewing FIFA games. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Nice

The staff in particular are fantastic at this location. Kind, friendly, accommodating, and very responsive. Any questions were immediately answered and further information was provided (sometimes you don't know the right questions to ask) - staff were knowledgeable and as mentioned, responsive.

This hotel is very well situated and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms spacious. There is a pool, hot tub, gym, restaurant and parking on site. The staff are helpful and friendly. Although a mix of people, it seems primarily a business and conference hotel.

The location and view were great, staff were very helpful and friendly. However the hotel is dated and run down. Faucets were broken and unsecured in both rooms we stayed in, moulding was falling off of the closet doors, the chair in each room were filthy and stained and there is no ventilation in the washrooms so every time we showered the windows would fog up, this also likely explains the musty smell of the room.
