Tolles Hotel gegenüber vom Bahnhof
Pros:

Der Check In war sehr gut, die Mitarbeiterin außerordentlich freundlich. Die Angestellten beim Frühstück waren auch sehr nett.
Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Das Hotel in der Lobby etwas angestaubt, aber sonst sehr schöne und modern gemacht.

Cons:

Man hat beim Valet Parking einen Nebeneingang und muss durch den ganzen Path um in die Rezeption zu gelangen. Eine Treppe runter, komplett an das andere Ende und eine Treppe wieder hoch. Man kann nicht beim Haupteingang sein Auto abgeben. Bei 75 Dollar am Tag ist das nicht in Ordnung. Darauf angesprochen reagierte der MA beim Valet nicht freundlich.
Unsere Suite lag hinter den Aufzügen und es rumpelte ununterbrochen. Wenn man das Hotel kennt, lehnt man dieses Zimmer ab.

Historic Elegance in the Heart of Toronto — Perfect for Special Occasions, Not Ideal for Families
Pros:

After walking up the grand staircase and into the main lobby, you are immediately surrounded by stunning architecture, beautiful woodwork, elegant details, and a level of craftsmanship that is difficult to describe until you experience it in person. The entire space has a timeless, luxurious atmosphere that truly makes you feel as though you have stepped into another era.
To the right of the lobby is a beautiful lounge area, complete with live music, which added even more to the elegance and charm of the experience. There are also two additional beautiful restaurants to choose from, each fitting perfectly with the character and sophistication of the hotel.
The architecture, design, woodwork, and attention to detail throughout the property are absolutely remarkable. The Fairmont Royal York has a presence that immediately makes you feel like royalty. The historical beauty of this hotel was, without question, one of the highlights of our stay.

Cons:

We were traveling with a small child and a stroller, and one thing that surprised us about such a magnificent hotel was how difficult the main entrances were to navigate with a stroller—or, I would imagine, a wheelchair.
At the entrances we used, you are immediately faced with sets of stairs. The revolving doors are quite narrow and difficult to manage with both a person and a stroller, while the push-to-open doors are also narrow and surprisingly heavy when you are trying to hold onto a stroller with one hand.
Unfortunately, simply entering or exiting the hotel became more difficult than it should have been for a family traveling with a young child. I would imagine guests using wheelchairs or other mobility devices could face similar challenges.
The hotel does have doormen and bell staff who could certainly make the experience easier. However, during our four-day stay, out of approximately 20 times entering or leaving the hotel, we were only offered assistance three or four times. At times, some of the doormen seemed more focused on posing for photos with the limousines and maintaining the image of the position than paying attention to guests who could genuinely use a helping hand.
For a hotel of this caliber, I expected much better attention to accessibility and to families traveling with young children.

I've stayed here before and love the hotel. It's perfect!

Cons:

At check-in the front desk couldn't find my reservation I had prepaid for. I had to produce confirmation emails and open Booking.com. When she finally admitted to seeing it she claimed they were overbooked and there wasn't a 2 bed room available (3 of us were not going to sleep in a single bed). I HATE having to play a game to get what I paid for but I went through the whole "I need to speak with someone about this etc etc etc" for her to finally say "Oh looks like I just found a room!".

Man erreicht die Lobby über Treppe, es gibt keinen Aufzug dorthin, Haupteingang schwere Drehtüre
