Convienent stay for zoo and cheshire oaks - staff were really nice
Pros:

Location good - staff were really nice and friendly at reception and breakfast area well done

Cons:

Corridors carpets abit scruffy - room was nice clean big beds - the outside windows very dirty looked out onto dock but so dirty on outside could hardly see

A lovely stay in a beautiful location
Pros:

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location with lovely scenery overlooking the canal, The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had an issue with the toilet in our original room, but the team dealt with it quickly by upgrading us to the bridal suite, which was a wonderful surprise. Especially when we celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. We also appreciated the complimentary drinks as a kind gesture. The hotel also has a swimming pool, although unfortunately we didn’t have time to use it. Overall, excellent customer service and a relaxing stay. We would definitely visit again.

Cons:

The only small downside was that some areas of the hotel could do with a little TLC. The windows looked a bit tired and dated, but it didn’t take away from our stay.

Positiveness all round
Pros:

The setting was really nice, with the water outside. The staff were really helpful and polite. The room was lovely, especially the air con during this hot spell.

Cons:

The only things really were, the bed was hard and we kept meeting in the middle. The carpets are a bit tired. Apart from that it was great

Pros:

ALL the staff were all so helpful and kind. The location is great.for shopping cheshire oaks. Nearby is the boat museum well worth a visit. Great will be back for longer next time. This was our 2nd visit

Not bad, free parking but needs attention…
Pros:

Location wasn’t to bad, free parking always brilliant. The views of the dock were great.
But as an important point, you have great professional staff, happy and efficient, friendly..

Cons:

That it seriously needs a refurb, carpets in our room were awful, paint chipping .. mould in shower…etc etc! It’s obvious the Cleaning staff are doing their best but let down by the points mentioned.

Lovely stay, let down by poor dinner service
Pros:

It was in a lovely setting by the canal, parking was free. The lobby was attractive and had a lovely fragrance. Dining area was nice with view of the canal. Room was comfortable and aircon was needed. Swimming pool was nice

Cons:

Dinner service was poor and expensive for the quality. There seemed to be a staffing issue. Kids eat free is great but the kids didn’t want to eat the choices on their menu. Having to book the pool in advance is a little annoying.

Great stay, would recommend.
Pros:

Great location for visiting both Liverpool and Chester by car. Lovely to have water both front and back of the hotel. Quiet as well. Nice that there were gluten free options at breakfast, even a dedicated toaster!

As a regular user of Holiday Inns going back nearly 50 years. This hotel is one of the better ones.
Pros:

Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff all very friendly and full of interesting information. Lots to see and do. The hotel is along side the canal, with lots of boats up and down the locks. The use of a very clean leisure facility was very welcome as the weather was very warm. Plenty of parking.
