A few problems, but overall we enjoyed our stay at the Avisford.
Pros:

There was a lot of choice. The pricing of breakfast is not acceptable, if you booked (I asked at reception about booking and they said that you can just walk in)the price is less. I queries this on the first morning and they allowed me to pay the cheaper price, but on the second morning I had to pay the higher price.

Cons:

At dinner we were told on both nights that items on the menu were not available??! We were very upset that the outdoor swimming pool had obviously been closed for a long time. This should not be advertised on the website.

Pros:

Nice building and grounds
Gym was great and well appointed.
Pool was a bit small but served its purpose

Cons:

The room had a large extractor fan that didn’t really help with the heat and was really loud so you couldn’t hear the tv or relax. The windows had security locks so could only open a few inches. The room because of the heat was horrific . This ruined our experience to be honest.

HAVE TO SAY THE STAFF HOLLY ON FRONT DESK WAS VERY VERY GOOD HAD TROUBLE WITH TV GIT GUY VERY KIND CALLED GERORGE TO SORT THE GAME WAS JUST ABOUT START . I DID NOTICED WHEN I BOOKED IN SHE CARES AND I WAS VERY IMPREESED . THE GIRL IN THE BAR AND ALL THE STAFF MADE THE TRIPTHANK YOU PLUS ENJOYED THE HEALTH CLUB

Pros:

We love the Avisford, we had our wedding reception here 10years ago and have been back many many times since.
It's our favourite little getaway and now our children love it too.
Facilities are always amazing, staff are always so happy and helpful.
We will be coming back again and again.

staff at bar were over worked and under staffed the swimming pool had a scum line around the top of waters edge on arrival the fridge had been switched off so carpet was very wet dirty room and bathroom
