Wer in Schottland wie in einem Schloss leben möchte, ist hier - mit Abstrichen - richtig.
Die Lage ist hervorragend, vorausgesetzt man hat ein Auto. Begeistert hat uns das Frühstücksbuffet - das beste, das wir während unserer gesamten Schottland-Reise hatten. Riesen Auswahl und sehr lecker. Die Räume, in denen gespeist wird, sind beeindruckend und die Aussicht überwältigend. Der Bau ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber APEX hat ihn jetzt erst übernommen. Es kann also davon ausgegangen werden, dass dieses Hotel bald wieder ein sehr komfortables, schlossartige uns besonderes Ambiente bieten wird. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.
Während unseres Aufenthalts waren Schwimmbad und Spa-Bereich wegen Renovierung geschlossen. Es waren Bauarbeiten im Gebäude, die morgens für Lärm sorgten. Die Korridore zu den Zimmern erinnern in der Farbwahl eher an eine etwas mißglückt gestaltete Billigpension. Die Zimmer dahinter überzeugen allerdings mit neu renovierten Bädern, ihrer Größe und vor allem großen und bequemen Betten.
great food and room; very dog friendly
Hotel not ready to receive guests: the drive was being relaid, the lifts were not working, the hotel was full of workmen, Bar shut. It was all a bit Soviet. The management needs to think about their hotel from the customer's point of view. This is the second hotel in a week I have stayed at in Scotland which thinks it's OK to renovate in July. Insane.

We were not informed the hotel was under renovations, the room service unavailable and limited menu from bar. Far too much money to pay for such restricted service
