Concert in Glasgow
Pros:

Location was good thats why we booked

Cons:

Room unavailable when we arrived. We were going to a concert and allowed to leave bags as room was being cleaned. After concert it was about midnight we were told no room was available and they had double booked. Explained we couldnt drive home that late and had paid for a room. Someone eventually found us a room to slerp in which was like a store room with a double bed. That was not good as we had booked a twin room. Had to sleep with my daughter who is 23. Not appropriate but we were so tired.

Staff were polite.

Cons:

The place is run down, not like the photographs. The staff are friendly. The surfaces in many areas are dirty with grim, including where you eat, toilets and general rooms. The hotel primarily caters for engineering workers which is why the car park was full of large transits and commercial vehicles. Requested verbally and through booking.com for invoices and still not received.

Standards Slipping.
Pros:

Pro's - nice staff, good pool, good breakfast. Negatives. Booked room for two adults and 7 year old child at least one month ago.Arrived exhausted after day at M & D's to find no bed made up for child and no towels for her either. It was rectified. But they took pillow from standard bed instead of getting one for child. Had to go to reception again. These small niggles detract from 4 star status. Next item did not please me. Picked a deal of fish and chips with pint for 19.95. It was okay if rather small fish. As i was sitting after paying bill I noticed another table get fish and chips. The fish was twice the size (obviously not on the deal) I hate these deals like groupon, itson etc where you think you save money such as 50% on curry but portion is 50%. That is no saving. The hotel website should really say reduced size (senior) fish and chips in 19.95 deal. In contrast a st andrews pub fish and chips 1.50 less was sized as expected. I dont want a response saying we look forward to you having a nicer experience next time. That cut and paste response to other negative reviews is worn out. That they had a swimming pool ,sauna and steam room

Cons:

tired in places, mould in swimming pool. not enough attention to the jacuzzi where young tots hover in the water. a safegaurding issue. Management were really good at sorting this out once alerted.
