Needs tlc and it could be a cracker hotel
Pros:

Hotel room and pool were very acceptable, food was also good and plenty full

Cons:

I am going to say what everyone else does.... Spend some money on the overall look of the outside, and rip up those dated carpets in the Hallways

We had a good stay and liked the hotel but feel it could be so much better if it was maintained.
Pros:

The location was amazing. The food was good in Lookys and the breakfast was good every morning.

Cons:

The property is in need of refurbishing and very rough around the edges.

Very disappointing and we will not stay there again.

The hotel is extremely tired. The communal areas are dirty and obviously have not been hoovered or cleaned for ages; even the carpets in the rooms are not brilliantly hoovered - the bottom of my husband's socks were covered in hairs and 'bits' from walking on the carpets in the room.. The website clearly stated we could book breakfast and an evening meal on the day but this was not possible because we had not booked in advance; but when we tried to book online, the option was unavailable as we could book on the day; therefore, this information should be removed from the website as it is extremely misleading. We chose this hotel as we had stayed previously a few years ago and as we were travelling with my 90 year old mother and wished to be able to have an early evening meal at the hotel to accommodate her preferences, however, this was not possible.

Great Hotel in Super location
Pros:

The hotel is in a perfect position for transport around the island and walking into Douglas
The facilities were excellent, we used the leisure facilities several times and it was always very clean and well tended to, we used Lookys bar for food which was very good and great value for money

Cons:

The outside of the hotel looked a little tired, particularly in the entrance from the promenade

If I have to be honest, really needs updating in places.. carpets , outside of building...painting on stair corridors Shame it's looking run down as is a good hotel with good staff.

Not 4 star, and not worth the price!!
Pros:

A good breakfast with attentive staff clearing up quickly. Wide range of food with quick replenishment of items as they ran out Friendly and obliging staff

Cons:

Looking its age in need of updating. Carpets and furniture well worn. No restaurant for residents, advised only for coach parties, with a restricted menu. Food available at bar, but not my idea of 4 star facilities. Bedroom cleaned after 3 day intervals, so dirty bed and bathroom at that time, and coffee/tea only replenished on asking. Again NOT 4 star!

Great, would visit again
Pros:

Location, Room size, Large patio windows. We even had ago in the Casino (first time ever), lost a fiver! House always wins.

Cons:

Room only had 2 usable sockets. The other 2 were occupied by the TV. This made for lots of swapping over when charging phones, fans, kettle etc. There were other sockets by the bed but these had been covered over.
