Loved the island and this is an ideal base to get all public transport. Food was amazing

Hotel acceptable, but loved the IOM.
Pros:

The location was good, excellent view from the room.
Staff helpful and friendly .Breakfast was at best average.

Cons:

There is a Chinese Restaurant in the building which we didn't try, so can't comment on the food, but the smell of the oil used in the food preparation managed to penetrate the building. The rooms had no air conditioning, so it must be horrendous when hot.

Too long to walk to the town centre

Dislikes:
1. The location takes 15-20 mins to walk to the town centre, I wish I had chosen a hotel closer to town.
2. Reservations don't work Saturdays and Sundays, so if you want to make changes to your reservation on the weekend after you arrive you would have to wait until Monday as Reception will not help.
3. The bedroom is not soundproofed so you can hear people talking in the corridor, the bedroom doors do not have soft-close so you hear bedroom doors slamming shut.
4. The bathroom has no window or no extractor fan

My stay was enjoyable thanks to the location of the hotel not the hotel its self

Casino staff were great.

Cons:

Room was in a poor state, bathroom tap dripped endlessly, hole in shower curtain, bulbs next to bed didnt work, toilet roll holder loose, and no plug sockets next to the bed. Waiting staff in breakfast hall all zombies with a language barrier in some cases too.

The staff in all areas were really helpful and friendly but the hotel needs to change
Pros:

There are only two plus points for this hotel one being the free car park the other being the sea view.

Cons:

The hotel is very outdated, needs a complete refurbishment especially the bathrooms. The dining needs to change as priority is given to coach parties and groups for dinner in the restaurant while other residents have to use the bar area which is very busy and noisy although the food is good .
