The location was great.
The parking was awful and it was difficult to find the entrance. The most disappointing part was that the beach access was blocked off, which was the primary reason why we booked the hotel. The pool was also gross and full of dead bugs.
good breakfast
When we checked in, the front desk staff was not very polite. It was our first time visiting Daytona, and we were asking for directions. We also inquired if we could pass by the pool on our way to the beach, but he responded with a curt, "Of course not." I found his tone a bit rude; he should have directly instructed us where to go instead. Additionally, parking is not free, yet we had a difficult time finding a spot after going out for dinner. The balcony door was hard to open, which made it inconvenient to enjoy the outside view. Moreover, the beds were smaller than a standard queen size, making it uncomfortable for as many as two people to sleep comfortably.
Nice location
Parking lot had massive pot holes, the front area was under construction and barely accessible, beach access was closed, hot tub was closed and nasty. Our floor in our room was dipping down, ac did not work. It was not a very nice experience.
The view of the ocean except the blinding floods that were on all night
First off there was very little to no parking. The seawall was washed out and you had to walk a block down the street to access the beach. The hotel was just dirty! The lobby floors looked like they hadn't been mopped in months! There was some kind of debris on the floors everywhere. Loose tiles and threshold in the elevator I actually tripped on that! In the actual room the door hinges were broken(poorly repaired) making it hard to operate. The bed spread had wierd yellow stains on it. The ac leaked all over the carpet. And there was mold on the drapes! Breakfast was dismal at best. Rubber microwaved eggs and sausage frozen muffins....and to boot there were roaches the size of golf balls in the dinning room! I will not be returning to that Hilton or any others in the future I paid good money to sleep in a stain and mold infested room!
The room was nice clean and a great view !
the list goes On. Please take all reviews into consideration because I didn’t ! First off I booked this room and was charged 58$ extra dollars. No problem because I thought it was the security deposit. I get to room and was charged an additional 50$! So when I asked the lady at the front counter she said “booking” has their own fees .so my room was 455$+58$(hiding fee) plus 50$ when I got to the property! Anyways I called them and they were able to refund the extra 58$ right away. HOWWW when they said it was booking?? Anyways, NO BEACH ACCESS, you will have to keep walking a block down to get on the beach and it only looks like it’s missing a few steps so it looks like a easy fix . Parking lot caved in and why is that ONE hotel the only one with no beach access, Or storm damage? and maybe tell the people this at CHECK IN . Just keep your money !
Breakfast and service from Kelly.
Hotel under construction and not posted on booking.com and no access to beach from the hotel and parking nightmare.
Unfriendly staff. Girl up front was very Unfriendly and didn't smile or seem like she didn't like her job.
Breakfast dining the lady was fussing about the hours she was having to work and she wasn't helpful or friendly.
Location
Pool floor terribly dirty, limited beach chairs in POOR CONDITION, NO BEACH ACCESS on property as advertised, (had to walk 2 inconvenient blocks) unlit unsafe no cameras plywood entrance (not safe)
I liked the location of the property.
The property is under construction ( no one told us this during booking) this should have decreased the price. There was little to no parking, my room was outside, there was a big flying roach in my room, because there was a crack under the entrance door, the parking in the back of the building was literally falling in, that knocked out about 8 parking spots.
My wife and I stay at Hampton Inn and Suites whenever we travel and are usually very satisfied. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times. This place is dirty and run down. It’s hard to believe this is a Hampton Inn. The front is under construction and the rear parking lot is partially caved in. The beach access is blocked off. The room just felt unclean and the bathtub had a ring around it. The floor is carpet squares with no padding. The weather stripping was coming off the door and the door strike plate was coming off. I couldn’t even throw the dead bolt. The only redeeming thing about this hotel was the oceanfront balcony.
We were very disappointed.
Loved the view of the ocean
Was undergoing construction and I wasn’t aware of it until I arrived. Didn’t have access to the beach due to the construction/remodeling
This Hampton Inn is a train wreck. HI is.my go to hotel choice. How this HI holds an occupancy license is beyond me. From a collapsed parking deck to construction equipment stored in the halls, an accident waiting to happen. Go elsewhere!!!
NOTHING
Bugs everywhere inside the room, hotel would not respond to booking.com in regards to refund, i had to find elsewhere to stay.
Stayed here for a local timeshare presentation situation. I thought we were going to be at the other Hampton inn at Daytona beach that seems awesome. You know the one with a bar and splash pad? This one was for sure a disappointment. No beach access currently, pool is basic, everything seems run down. Jacuzzi not working. Lots of little things in our room are semi broken (sliding door, hooks for towels, sink drain etc) The entrance is a literal plywood tunnel. Would zero percent recommend.
