Pros:

Breakfast was phenomenal; our view of the beach was breathtaking. Such a great location; our room was very clean and nice! This hotel is located close to the private beach houses and condos, so the crowd at the beach was minimal, which was so nice.

Cons:

The parking was horrendous, unfortunately. That would be my only complaint.

Will never stay or recommend again
Pros:

Offered free breakfast

Cons:

The beach access was broken. Had to pay for parking and had to park across the street. Pool was filthy clumps of hair all in it. Receptionist was rude. Had high hopes for hotel. Never been disappointed with a Hampton hotel.

This Place met our needs on a Budget
Pros:

The place needs some work on the Seawall after turtle nesting season as the beach access was closed off the pool deck due to stopped construction. November will make that happen. Lori at breakfast was the star of the day feeding my large crew with style. She is a star here. Our room had great AC and pretty good desk and housekeeping service with towels requested delivered. The front door was closed most of our stay which was a pain but it is all newly done now. The stairwell was creepy with no bottom landing and dark, really dangerous. The back door was locked for parking in the rear which made for a long walk to unload stuff with a front door messed up. The hallway door on the fourth floor leading to our room had a tight closer that scraped and bruised my arm pretty bad and I reported it with little response. Hot water took all of four minutes to get to the shower consistently. The ice machine being out on the fourth floor during our whole stay was not alright with no freezer area in the room refrigerators. The elevators are slow but work and have first floor progress monitor. Again on a Budget this place was clean, well air conditioned in the rooms only not the common areas, sufficiently provided breakfast with superstar, worth the money. Parking should be better after the Seawall repair by November but until then good luck as half the back lot is two gapping holes of washout. Dangerous to leave your car there with caution tape and all.

I probably avoid this hotel if you're looking for a nice beach experience. As you can't actually get on to the beach fr
Pros:

July 2026
I am currently staying here for a brief trip to Daytona. Partially business, partially pleasure. This is probably the third or fourth time I've stayed here over the years.

First time was probably 15-20 years ago. Had a pretty good time then. I was able to walk on the beach, had no complaints about the hotel that I recall.

The second or third time I stayed here was in November 2022 while I was in town to watch the Artemis 1 launch. Back then, I was surprised to see that the hotel was damaged from the hurricane/s that had passed the area a few months before. The pool deck was damaged and inaccessible. Part of the parking lot was closed as it had been damaged and undermined by the ocean, etc. Totally understandable, as that's out of their control.

My wife and step daughter stayed here over the summer and the pool deck was still not totally usable. They were unable to walk down to the beach, etc. has the stairs from the pool deck were closed and they were some other issues I believe. Hopefully it's not the same damage from way back in 2022. I would imagine they would have long ago fixed that.

Well I'm at the hotel currently, and am surprised to find out that they still have not fixed the issues with the pool deck and back parking lot. I went to take a evening stroll on the beach and the gate to the stairs is chained shut. There's also a wooden plank mailed across the walkway blocking the stairway. I asked about it at the front desk and they told me I had to walk down several buildings to get access to the beach. So I walked few buildings down in got access to the beach via a alleyway style public beach access. You can get to the beach by a public beach access parking lot with facilities a little further down as well.

I paid for a partial Ocean view room. But the partial Ocean view I got here is mostly a view of a building and parking lot. As the only way I can see some of the ocean is if I go out onto the balcony and turn left. But 95% of my view is the parking lot and the building next door and the main road.

Also, the whole front lobby area was blocked off as they're doing construction on the doorway and entry. They eventually opened it in the evening, but didn't remove all the construction equipment. I don't recall any notification about any the issues with the hotel when I reserved the room.

I stay had a lot of hotels including a lot of Hilton properties. I'm in a hotel almost weekly due to work and personal travel. Based on this stay, and the other stays I mentioned, in my opinion, this is one of the worst oceanfront Beach hotel experiences I've personally had in about 25+ years near constant travel.

Having said, I think the hotel is trying to fix the issues. But at the moment it's a little bit of a hot mess. On the bright side, the breakfast was pretty good, and the morning breakfast at front desk staff was excellent. I wasn't totally thrilled with the reception I got when I arrived though.

Another thing I just thought about is the parking situation. This hotel probably has 120-150 rooms. And if I had to guess they probably have 40 or 50 parking spots. But several of them are in the section of the back parking lot that is damaged and roped off. There might actually be less parking spots than that. I'm not sure how people normally park here with a bunch of business travelers with one car each.

Originally I gave the hotel at once I review because I was so frustrated initially. But after some reflection and having a pretty decent breakfast and a really super nice walk on the beach last night, I deleted my review and and resubmitting it as a three-star review. At best, this hotel may only get a four-star review if they fix all the issues. But I'll wait until I stay here again to see if they fix any of the issues I encountered during this day and the last couple stays.

Parking
Pros:

The Hotel was very nice and a great location. My only gripe was paying $15 a day for parking in your very own parking lot. Unreal......First question at the desk was donyou have a car?? No, I walked here from Texas. Oh, that will be $15 for the on 12 hrs visit. Give me a break.

Will not return as this was the worst Hampton Inn that we have stayed in and we prefer them. Not enough parking and no d
Pros:

On the beach

Cons:

Lack of parking, common areas were hot, common areas like elevator were not cleaned, ice machine out of order, no direct beach access yet patrons were climbing over the locked gate, breakfast was lacking, ran out of coffee and it wasn’t refilled, over priced for the facility, spa/hot tub was nasty. We stay at Hampton Inn’s all the time and this one was not up to standards.

A Hot Mess with Beautiful Views
Pros:

The location was perfect when it comes to the beach and amenities nearby! The down fall was the beach access and parking. We stayed here as a Spinnaker Resort Preview guest and the accommodations were just okay. The room and balcony were nice with beautiful beach views but the pool was dirty, parking was scary, and there are absolutely no cameras around so I didn't feel safe. They really need to install a card reader on the back door to the parking lot for safety and convience as well. A woman and children shouldn't have to hop the fence for access to the hotel from the parking lot which is crumbling away. Moreover, the access to the beach is also blocked and folks were just jumping over the fence for access because the steps are broken. Just fix the steps, the foot shower, clean the pool more regularly, address the parking lot, and make a few upgrades on security for this hotel to be the most bang for your buck on Daytona Beach Shores.

WORST Hampton Inn We’ve Ever Stayed At.
Pros:

y recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and not up to the expectations you have when you see it is a Hampton Inn by Hilton.

There were ongoing maintenance issues and limited functionality of key facilities that continued throughout our stay. The one bright spot was the staff we interacted with were friendly and did their best to accommodate requests despite the rundown circumstances of this hotel.

During our visit, the portico was blocked off by construction fencing, which made it difficult to access the entrance for unloading and restricted movement around the front parking area. Construction vehicles also occupied several parking spaces, and despite this, we were still charged a nightly parking fee even though we ultimately had to park off-site. If they just replaced the steps, construction workers could have parked on the beach so guests could use the parking lot.

At check-in, the front desk area was under renovation, and guests were checked in at a temporary card table in the lobby. Our rooms were not ready until after 5:30 PM when check in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM

Once in the rooms, we encountered several issues: some sliding doors did not open or close completely, burned-out lightbulbs were not replaced despite multiple requests, and water pressure in both the sink and shower was extremely low with limited hot water.
Elevator service was also concerning. There are only two small elevators located around the corner from each other, and one would bounce or jump before opening its doors on the higher floors.

Additional amenities were either limited or out of service. Poor limited choices at the breakfast buffet. The pool deck now has voile two deck umbrellas now and no other shaded seating options, the pool and Horus lifts were corroded and broken, and the hot tub was not functioning.

As I mentioned earlier, the stairs to the beach were broken so access to the beach was non existent. Another couple said the steps were chained off and broken last year when they had stayed here with their family. There is also a sinkhole in the rear parking area near the seawall, pool deck, and broken stairs.

Overall, this hotel is in serious need of maintenance and upkeep. I’m honestly surprised that Hilton hasn’t closed it until it can be brought up to meet guest expectations and the standard quality of a Hilton brand hotel.
