Great hotel, but
Pros:

Comfortable facilities, decent breakfast, great bedding, and wonderful people, do not make up for the fact that the internet constantly has to be rebooted. Very frustrating when you're in the middle of something. Nevertheless, we do keep going back.

Clean and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again when in the Del Mar area
Pros:

Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. We returned to this property and were impressed. Stayed here in the past and stopped coming because of a very unwelcoming front desk.

Cons:

The $18 parking charge. Did recall seeing this during booking and became aware at check in.

Pros:

Big and functional room. Breakfast was good, but nothing special - appreciated that it changed every day a little. Staff was friendly and the location close to the highway.

Cons:

Parking cost was 18 $ even out side and it did not seem as there were alternatives. Not the best area to explore without a car.

It was great
Pros:

power outlets around the seats in the public area.
The (paid) WiFi was stable, which was critical for my job.
Overall, the staff was hospitable, including housekeeping, engineering, and the front desk.

High rates for a property of this type.

I enjoyed my time there with my family, it was pleasant and relaxing.
Pros:

Clean, comfortable, professional and friendly staff, variety of foods at complimentary breakfast, loved the beach background with my name on the TV screen. The entire property looked clean and modern. Really appreciated the 24/7 convenient access to hot water and water dispensers by the elevators.

Cons:

The water pressure at the shower could be a bit stronger, it took us a while to wash off shampoo, conditioner, and soap.

Pros:

Our stay started off on the wrong foot due to poor customer service at check-in. Emma was noticeably rude and condescending, speaking to us in a way that felt dismissive and unnecessary. It set a negative tone right away.

Thankfully, Chantel stepped in and was much more helpful. She clarified the situation and made sure we could stay in the same room for the duration of our trip, which we appreciated.

However, there were still billing issues that were never fully resolved with transparency. I had booked one night separately before our company reservation kicked in (different room type), and during the transition, I was incorrectly charged for a room that had already been paid for by the company. While the charge was later voided, at checkout they refused to provide a receipt showing the void because the company card was now on file. That left me having to simply take their word for it.

Between the initial attitude at check-in and the lack of clear documentation on billing, it made the experience feel disorganized and difficult to trust. There are definitely some staff members who care and try to help, but consistency and professionalism need improvement.
