The parking can be a bit hit and miss but the hotel can move your car to a carpark at the back
The location, lounge area and bar are great.
The bedrooms are outdated and in desperate need of a refresh. They let down the hotel and feel very overpriced.
Having stayed here before for a wedding I knew the location well and regularly visit Bury St Edmunds, the hotel was fabulous then and still holding it’s standards and charm
Used the bar for a pre dinner drink as we were going to eat out then the theatre but was shocked after ordering 2 small glasses off Sauvignon Blanc and getting charged £30
the attentive staff. and breakfast was super tasty!

I love Bury anyway and live there for three years but had never stayed at the angel hotel and as i was coming to meet up with some friends my partner and myself decided to stay the night there on saturday. Can not fault the hotel or the sraff
The only thing i will say was the heating was not coming out the vent but the staff were very accomodating and helpful they bought to the room a radiator and a new phone as the one in the room to get hold of reception was not working so they replaced it nothing was to much of a problem .
Excellent location and convenient to have parking available in addition. The bar was well stocked and staffed by exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our room was immaculate and had (almost) everything provided (no fridge).
The reception area wasn’t immediately obvious on arrival but once found the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms would benefit from a small fridge.

The property was lovely but our room had its faults. The staff were professional though out and the staff in the lounge were lovely.
The bathroom in our room was quite dated (a bit grim really). Also, whilst I understand the reasoning, seeing rat bait boxes outside the side entrance near our room was not a great look.
Location, clean, efficient check-in, excellent tea/coffee in room and shower above bath tub was hot with good pressure.
Felt it overpromised and under-delivered and for less money could have had the same experience at Premier Inn. The hotel was fine but room felt dated and functional rather than an experience.

Lack of parking but it wasn't too horrible.
Ours was only a brief stay but we have visited Bury st Edmunds before so we had a plan of what we wanted to see and do. Fortunately the weather was kind enough not to deter us and, together with your lovely hotel, we were wonderfully restored and hoping for a return when time and finances allow.
Nothing falls under this category apart from leaving on Tuesday!
