The Killarney Park

Stunning and well placed hotel in Kilarney. The service and accommodations were among the best I have ever been. The rooms were well appointed and immaculately clean. It was a quick walk to town.

We dropped in here late afternoon, midweek i.e. a quiet time, for a drink: tea / pint. Service was excellent, notably so. Staff very friendly too. Memorable.

The hotel is itself is phenomenal. I have stayed at some of the nicest hotels in Ireland and this has been the best. The recent remodeling is impeccable and the service is excellent. I could not give it a higher recommendation.

We stayed over the third weekend of June and loved the property, the rooms, the service, and the beautiful breakfast restaurant. The concierge PC went out of his way to help me with some bookings I needed to change. He personally reached out to one of his contacts and was able to help us as needed, but more importantly, he followed up with us before and after to ensure everything went well. Thank you very much PC; you really surprised us and showed a desire to serve and assist us. You must certainly love what you do, and it shows. We look forward to our next trip.

This was a fantastic trip and it is all due to the Killarney Park Hotel. After I booked the hotel I emailed the concierge and asked if they could arrange a driver and guide for me that has knowledge of the area in the 1960s/1970s, as I am writing a book set in that period. Padraig Casey aka PC, head concierge, came up with a plan very quickly and it was exactly what I wanted. His staff that I saw daily (Tim, Colin, Declan and Sean) were fabulous, friendly, helpful and all with a great sense of humour.
The excellence of the hotel did not stop at the front door. The managers Ciaran and Stephen were always around making sure that everything was perfect. I dined in both restaurants and the food was excellent. My room was lovely and spacious, and overall the hotel decor is pleasing to the eye. The only thing I didnt do because I didn’t have time was go to the spa. So if you want a 5 star hotel, but one that is not pretentious go here.

We (my husband and I, my daughter and her husband and 2 year old toddler, and my second daughter) checked into the Killarney Park Hotel on 6/27/26 for two nights. This is a beautiful hotel with excellent customer service. I had reached out to the hotel for accommodations, and the concierge got in touch with me immediately, made sure we had perfect accommodations for traveling with a toddler. They sent emails after booking to see if we needed any recommendations for sight seeing. The beds were fabulous, and they have great air conditioning. Wonderful breakfast, food was very good, with a spectacular breakfast.
The bartenders were really top notch.
The hotel is extremely clean, everyone from the waitstaff to the doormen were extremely helpful and friendly.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Killarney.

In hospitality, the guest experience is shaped by a series of small but important moments — the points at which visitors form their impression of a hotel’s service, quality and overall standard.

The guest-facing team at the hotel clearly understand this. Thanks are due to them and, in particular, to Suzi O’Gorman for the care and attention they showed throughout our stay. It was disappointing, therefore, that those efforts were undermined by a number of systemic weaknesses that one simply would not expect in a five-star hotel.

I have written to the hotel separately to set out these concerns in more detail.

A nice hotel but the experience was destroyed by our experience yesterday (10th) morning. My partner woke up early and asked the housekeeper in the hallway for some fresh towels and not to clean our room and that I was still sleeping (he said she didn't seem to have great English so it's possible she didn't understand that he told her not to clean the room He left and I woke up at 10am and saw that his bed (we had a twin room) had been made up. I thought it was weird cause he usually wouldn't make up his bed but I brushed it off.
Then I noticed that a tissue box that was previously in the bathroom (I had moved it to my bedside table) had been put back in its original place. I looked around and the bin had been emptied and there were a bunch of new towels folded neatly. I feel like I'm going crazy because surely there's no way a cleaner would clean a room with a guest literally inside SLEEPING, but there's literally no other explanation. My partner thought this was really freaky, as do I. It's possible she maybe didn't see me at first but she moved the tissue box that was literally right by my head...
I have no idea what to think of this and I didn’t really want to complain as the receptionist is quite a nasty lady herself when we checked in preferring to chat with the other receptionist instead of checking us in . Especially if she didn't understand what he said or maybe misunderstood and thought he'd asked her to clean the room? The privacy please sign was also on the door. I'm honestly not sure what to make of this so called five star hotel, wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy!

The Killarney park is excellent.
The staff were more than helpful prior to arrival and all were wonderfully welcoming when we got there.
They all represented the hotel so well and the whole team do this venue a great service.
The hotel was immaculately clean and the attention to detail makes this place special.
The food and drinks selection is extensive and we enjoyed all of our meals there.
Breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day to walk around the town or head off and enjoy the tourist attractions (of which there are many and the staffs’ knowledge of all of these was impressive).
The pool and spa facilities were great to finish off the day, and for us, made our trip even more enjoyable.

What a fabulous hotel!! We stayed with rewards from the Leading Hotels of the World. So glad to have come across it through LHW when looking for a stay in Killarney. From the valets to desk check-in to bar staff to room care, everything here is top notch. The rooms are beautiful! We had a third floor overlooking the park. So serene. The rooms are very updated, electronic everything. The bathrooms are huge and perfectly equipped. We even received a personal note and delicious pastry on arrival. A glitch in the circuits for our mini bar was promptly attended to and compensated with a whiskey in the bar while they resolved it. We only wished we had booked for dinner in the hotel, as we didn’t want to leave the premises. What a beautiful property! We’d be back in a minute if we weren’t an ocean away. One tip though: when they ask before arrival for your room preferences, choose carefully. The “soft” beds are really soft! I prefer a firmer bed with a soft topper. My mistake. The pillows were perfect!

Wonderful location, stellar service, and comfortable luxurious rooms.

Exceptional in every aspect. Now that I’ve had a few days to marinate I can confidently say this has been a top 3 experience for us traveling abroad. The staff, food, drinks, service was nothing short of fantastic. It has set the bar for every other hotel from here on out. Sláinte.

We had a magical stay for five nights at this gorgeous property on the edge of the great national park.Every detail was attended to with warmth and style, and our sincere compliments in particular to Chief Concierge Padraig Casey and his skilled team, who guided us through walks, coastal drives, unique dining spots and finally to Cork !

Our stay at the Killarney Park was an unforgettable one with many precious memories made for a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, we received Céad Míle Fáilte from Declan and Maria and felt right at home. The hotel is wonderful, but the staff felt like family and made the stay so special. The room was perfect and so comfortable. The food was excellent, and the service was 5 star. The leisure centre and spa are top class, as again are the staff. Every need was catered to, and I highly recommend a stay here. We will be back. Thank you all so much.
