Pros:

Ok for our one night stay. Didn't have the warmest of welcome. It was pretty clean and a good sized TV, coffee machine, fridge and microwave. The room just felt very dark and I don't like how open the rooms are. Didn't feel overly safe.

Good deal for a comfortable bed
Pros:

Couldn't beat the price for the location. TV. Pool and spa. Microwave and fridge. A comfortable bed. The staff was professional and accommodating. Outside sitting area for smokers.

Cons:

As an older property it has some flaws. Florescent lighting in the room. Toilet could use some new internal works as we had to open the tank to reset the flap. Vanity sink water turned on could be heard in the next room. Trim work throughout could use a refreshing and floor needed a good cleaning - it is a beach town. Our room faced the next door property overly filled trash bins and scavengers began their quest for aluminum cans at 7 am which shouldn't reflect upon the hotel but the City does need to handle the trash issue.

A very noisy stay with mold.
Pros:

Good location, walking distance to the Boardwalk and a good Mexican restaurant near by.

Cons:

We has mold around our "spa" tub. The main door did not seal properly letting a lot of light and noise into the room. Also the air conditioner was so loud we had to turn it off to be able to sleep.

Perfect for our needs and a wonderful staff.
Pros:

The room was spacious. The staff were the friendliest and best people. It was clean, the flat screen TV was one of the best in any motel. The air conditioner, microwave, mini fridge all worked well. Shower was fine.

Cons:

The ONLY thing that I would’ve changed was better water pressure in the shower. But it was acceptable.
Everything else was great and worked very well for us.
We have a dog and he loved it there, too.

All in all, the room was clean, but when we return to visit, we will be choosing a different hotel.
Pros:

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building itself is super cute and in a great location; walking distance to the boardwalk. The pool area was neat. Bed was comfortable, the room was very clean. The “spa” shower was spacious, the water pressure was fantastic and the temp got HOT. Great if you like scalding hot showers like me! The furniture and amenities were updated & modern.

Cons:

We booked the king suite - which was very small and cramped. There is no breakfast, but not even a vending machine is available. There’s a tiny coffeemaker but there were no cups, so we couldn’t use it. The microwave was placed on the extremely tiny minifridge, which was placed on a rolling platform, so it wasn’t very sturdy or nice looking. The AC unit worked - but it was really loud and made a racket, which honestly, made it hard to sleep. There is an icemaker right in the hallway which people were using at all hours of the night.

1 night and comfortable with a lot of night noise from maybe the ac.
Pros:

I liked how the parking felt private since it was more in the back away from everything instead of in the front of the rooms and sticking out.

Cons:

I didn’t like the gravel part of the parking but other than that I only really ever went in my room and to the lobby so not much to complain about.

Would only stay there again in desperation.
Pros:

The only place we could find for a one night stay as we were on our way to Arcata.

Cons:

This ia a 2 star place. Room smelled like chemicals - probably due to the overwhelming smell of the chlorinated pool right underneath our room. Dinghy bathroom that had paint that is peeling in the corners. Towels the size of postage stamps and thin thin thin. Have stayed in many hotels in Santa Cruz - the Hyatt, Paradox, Pacific Blue, Scotts Valley Hyatt, Inn at Pasitiempo ..off season they are all near 150/night - so to pay 220 for a night at a place like this...no thanks.
