All round excellent hotel
Pros:

Super friendly staff, excellent location away from the busy area and great room with everything you need. Breakfast was also a treat. Loved how staff offered you a sparkling wine on check in, that was a nice treat especially after a long drive. I thoroughly recommend staying at The Anchorage, we will definitely be back.

Cons:

The bed was a little soft for us. Also SBS wasn’t working properly so couldn’t watch the World Cup game

Gorgeous stay at this fabulous hotel overlooking the ocean.
Pros:

Unimpressive and overpriced

The breakfast is highly recommended.

Cons:

We had to leave the wedding we were attending on three separate occasions to be able to check in and access the room due to facilities not working. The rooms were booked under two names and the property muddled this up, took no accountability, and passed blame back onto the app that had everything listed correctly. The price is appalling for what you’re getting, not value for money at all. And after staff of the venue passed blame for their own mistakes back onto guests of the wedding, we would recommend anyone and everyone avoid this business.

I’ll definitely be coming back. Everything was amazing.
Pros:

My first time in New Castle and stayed at the Anchorage, I wish that I stayed longer. Loved the atmosphere and the customer service. Best breakfast.
