Great value, good position in towns, very helpful staff

Excellent, but terrible WiFi connection
Pros:

Except for WiFi everything in this small hotel was great. It was centrally located, quiet, cosy, clean, well equiped and its breakfast had at least a few items for each person's requirements. Most of the staff members were very friendly. The hotel has a policy of credits for skipped days of room service, which could be used for drinks or snacks.

Cons:

The WiFi was absolutely terrible and wasn't even stable for 30 seconds per connection. This made working on the PC or gaming for the kids absolutely impossible (even in the lobby). It was only OK for communication for which permanent connection was not essential (e.g. texing using WhatsApp).

Suited us very well. Didn't want or expect a 5* experience. Would certainly stay again.
Pros:

Pleasant small hotel with friendly staff
Pros:

The hotel is well located at an easy walk to the CBD. The rooms are on various levels accessed by stairs. The rooms themselves are reasonably spacious and the layout is good . There is little storage space for clothes. Bathroom is well laid out and everything throughout the room performed well. We enjoyed the breakfast which had a range of hot and cold dishes and was topped up regularly.

Cons:

Breakfast is served strictly starting at 6.30 and not before. This makes some transfers and some tours quite tight, time wise. Although the staff b were friendly and helpful they were also fairly strict about the 3.00pm check in even when it seemed rooms were ready

There is no elevator, and there is no one available to help carry luggage. Carrying suitcases up and down the stairs is very difficult.
