Warm and inviting foyer
While the property has potential, our stay was disappointing. Our room was unusually large but awkwardly laid out, which made it feel impractical rather than comfortable. I had noted my pregnancy in advance, yet the welcome amenity was pre-cut fruit including rockmelon - both not recommended for consumption while pregnant - which felt careless.
The main restaurant was fully booked, so we tried the Italian venue. Service was inconsistent: at one point we were the only table, our drinks never arrived, and my pizza was undercooked in the center and inedible. Room service also fell short, with a very limited menu and a quoted 40-minute wait.
I hope the hotel reviews its pregnancy-friendly amenities, service training, and dining options to better meet guest needs.
Great vibes and atmosphere. Looks very grand and beautiful.
The only knock I have about the Fairmont was lack of staff. It was a public holiday long weekend so must not have had full crew on deck.
Check in was delayed and room service towels and sheets etc was delayed.
We were compensated with drinks vouchers and wine which is fine but that’s all that was wrong.
I would definitely go back as the location and staff were friendly. The 2 doctors whiskey bar was great and the rest of the facility was really cool.
Location is good. Giving the feeling of fresh, quiet and clean air
There is a fire danger/risk hidden in the room. There is a power point hidden behind the bed. The bedside lamp was plugged into it. I think previous guest plugged in a double adapter into it which made it more dangerous.
Loved the restaurant. So glad they moved it back for evening meals to this area as in previous year you could only eat in the cafeteria style area which was not acceptable for a venue of this quality.
Bathrooms are in need on an update at some stage.
Family friendly , fun and convenient
Cleanliness and outdated
Was great room was nice and breakfast
The view from the room was construction and driveways instead of the valley
This resort has so much for kids to do which is great! They have an arcade area, playground for infants and an indoor play area for toddlers and young children. They even have an indoor swimming heated pool, perfect for winter. The breakfast buffet was also great!
Unfortunately, my room was not very clean and was very dusty. There are also not many kids food options for dining in the afternoon/evening. We ate at the Sublime Lounge but the food was horrible. We order a pizza and a pasta and both were cold and very plain. The wait time was also very long, 1hr, not worth the money for the food.
Location, view, restaurants and bars, staff were nice!
Our room had an empty wine bottle left in it from the previous people that stayed in the room….
Has everything it needs to stay inside with kids when weather is unpredictable
The facilities
Everything was amazing! We loved the facilities, the restaurants etc. But most of all the staff were amazing. Especially on the first night when there was people making alot of noise in the hallway on the level where my family were staying while we were trying to put my son asleep, we told the reception what happened and they were top of it and told those people to stop distruping the other guess.
We loved the indoor swimming pool, the indoor playgrounds and walking through the grounds. We loved coming back to the hotel after a day in the cold wind and rain to a warm and comfortable hotel. All the staff were lovely.
Just needs some tweaking to push into luxury territory eg some towels near the pool. Our room was lovely but the wallpaper was peeling and there was stains on the carpet . Some Maintainance tweaks and it would have been perfect.
