Location is great.
The whole room is out of date. Bed soft and saggy very uncomfortable, shower/bath needs to be updated and cleaned the drain plugs need to be cleaned and cleared slow draining away. The internet kept dropping out took 2.5hours to watch a 1.5hour movie. Rang front desk and they didn't help at all and not interested in helping. Second time staying here 4 years ago loved it so extremely disappointed this time.
i had a function to attend at Mecure so the location was perfect
Have an umbrella in the room; whilst i was only 50 metres from the function i got wet going there
Location and the first impression of the surrounds.
The TV was never working, kept cutting out all the time, no access to internet, no chrome cast, even though we had wifi password. No tea towels provided.. the toilet was very very small impossible to get in and out if you are a larger person, I would consider making toilet and bathroom one room only. The single beds were way too soft, and it slept like bedding hadn't been washed.
The location was fine the food that was there was good if not quite hot, the staff were quick to respond when made aware things were empty
Value for money was a bit off with the very basic breakfast buffet. Would be nice to have more variety for yogurt mixers like granola and berries. Overall variety was lacking which meant the trays were often empty.
We paid separately for coffee before finding the coffee machine available, would have been nice to have the information.
Location
Very cold, ac was working ok
Our room was okay. Originally I had booked the two bedroom apartment but a few weeks out from travelling I was called by front desk to say that the two bedroom apartment was not available apparently it was getting renovated. And that they would give us two rooms I wasn’t happy but I didn’t really have the opportunity to book else where as it was to late Ballarat was booked out . Any way one room was good new bathroom king bed still a bit dingy but okay BUT my daughters, husband and son’s room was discusting old shabby, the bathroom was terrible she didn’t even want to shower in the bathroom the two old arm chairs were that saggy they had indentations permanently left in them even my two year old grandson opened the cupboard door and went YUCK and slammed it shut the tiles as you enter were not even cleaned properly they had mud on them or it could of been a stain probably the worst room I have ever booked. Luckly we only had to stay one night.
As above comments the rooms were to old and shabby discusting bathroom in one room old shabby chairs old cupboards even the mat at the door looked it had been there since 1970 . There is no upkeep on such a beautiful venue .
The grounds and buildings have a nice layout. Buffet brekky good value.
I was in a room down near the pub end so was noisy. If you had a room at the rear of the property it would be quieter. Bed was uncomfortable not like beds in other mercures I have stayed in. A bit dated also.
Ease of convenience and relaxing
Lovely and clean
Very clean, warm and friendly staff
The setting is beautiful and it feels like quite a lovely place. Convention centre is very nice and the meals were lovely
There was some cobwebs on the ceiling and above the cupboards hadn't been dusted for a while, it was quite thick
Location to servo, restaurants, central city, skatepark, Winter Wonderlights. Super spacious rooms, enough space in ‘boot room’ area to stand bikes for security at night.
No ‘covered carpark’ for Room #1. All other rooms in that row had cover…. Frost and ice on vehicle had us in a pickle that morning. Ferrying water in multiple trips back to and from room to sort out ice.
Not enough extra blankets in room. One blanket only for king, other occupant of single bed cold at night with split system on 27 degrees.
A terrific room, just pointing out a few easy (-ish) improvements perhaps!
It was clean & staff were friendly
Had to step into a bath for a shower
The heater was going in the room when we arrived. A lovely touch on a cold winter's day.
Staff at reception were friendly and efficient
Bedside lamp didnt have a globe in it, black sticky marks on bedside table where, I guess, a sign used to be, bed had an uncomfortable ridge where they had joined two beds together.
No parking outside room and, due to a function in the function room, no parking near our room. Not great when it is raining heavily.
Good location .
Rooms are showing lots of wear and tear. Shower was terrible, it leaked more from the fittings than what came out the shower head, other items not working in the room. This should of been picked up with the daily cleaning / inspection. We chose Mecure because of the brand name and past expectations from all over Australia. For the price we paid for two nights was way too expensive for what we were given, have stayed in many cheaper motels that were in better condition. I complained after the first night, and yes the staff were helpful and had the shower repaired while we were out during the day, but this should not have happened if a thorough inspection is done daily.
