Friendly and nice staff
As an ASD family, finding a holiday that’s suits our family can be difficult to get right and we did get it right here.
Where the apartments are based were right opposite the pool and little cafe. This was ideal for us with an older teen. The teen room was brilliant with fussball and pool tables and arcade machines. Alongside the cinema ( which we didn’t go to, this time) I could not fault the Clonakilty Park. They have hit the nail on the head with facilities. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartments were stocked with everything we could have possibly needed and the smart tv catered for everyone.
It’s was comfortable, immaculate and really lovely stay. We will definitely return.
The pillows were a little hard but that’s really being picky. We survived,
Parkplatz vor der Tür. Freundliches Personal.
Kaffeeautomat mit altem Tab drinnen.
Fabulous hotel. Warm and cosy. Great facilities. Lovely foyer area to relax in. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Hotel is Family Friendly. Lovely selection of options for breakfast.
We stayed here while attending a wedding elsewhere in the town. Staff were really helpful and gave us a list of local taxis to get from one hotel to the other.
Residents bar was closed at 2.30am. It’s outside the town so bear in mind that a taxi will be needed if you want to head into town and have a few drinks. FYI the Hotel Bar doesn’t stock West Coast Cooler.
We stayed in the apartments- so lovely and clean and spacious.

It can be a little bit pricey at times
Very clean with great value for money. Breakfast & lunch were both very nice too.
We had acroom with a patio. Multiple cigarette hutts left in orange on patio.
Beautiful
We recently stayed at the Clonakilty Park Hotel for two nights to celebrate our daughter's second birthday, and I honestly cannot speak highly enough of our experience.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Our daughter was delighted to receive a colouring book and crayons on arrival, and the reception team even gave her a complimentary teddy bear for her birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch that immediately made her feel special.
Our room was huge, spotless, and exceptionally comfortable. One of our favourite features was the spacious terrace, complete with a table and chairs, where we could sit out and relax. It was a lovely addition that really enhanced our stay.
The facilities for children are absolutely fantastic. Our daughter had the best time swimming in the pool, playing in the soft play area, and exploring the wonderful outdoor playground. There was always something for her to do, which made the trip so enjoyable and stress-free for us as parents.
The food was outstanding throughout our stay, and every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The highlight of the trip was when the staff brought out my daughter's birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to her. It was such a special and heartfelt moment that meant so much to our family and is a memory we will cherish for years to come.
What really stood out was the genuine warmth and kindness shown by every member of the team. Nothing seemed like too much trouble, and it was clear that they truly care about their guests and go the extra mile to make every stay special.
This was genuinely one of the best family breaks we have ever had. The attention to detail, exceptional service, fantastic facilities, amazing food, and welcoming atmosphere were second to none. I honestly cannot find a single fault with our stay. We loved every minute of it and are already looking forward to booking our return trip in the near future.
A huge thank you to everyone at the Clonakilty Park Hotel for helping make our daughter's second birthday so magical and memorable.
Firstly, I have to say that the rooms themselves are good quality. The family room is a great example of its type, with quality bunk beds, comfortable double bed, modern bathroom and we had a terrace that caught the afternoon sun. Staff are also professional and helpful. Buffet breakfast also covers all the bases.
But basically, we really weren't feeling it here. We had just come from Parknasilla in Kerry which we loved and is a different quality of hotel to this one, so by comparison this felt a bit of a let-down.
Also, it is very much dominated by young kids - which I understand as it caters for them very well. I think our kids are possibly a bit old for this place now - there is the teen room with some free arcade machines though the games are all from the 90s so only held their interest so long. The other items like the pool table are extra charge, but basically the room isn't that nice to hang out in. The Activity Centre is geared for older kids but outside of local school holidays is only open at weekends so wasn't an option for most of our stay. The swimming pool was ok though a bit tired.
For younger kids there is the indoor jungle gym, the outdoor pirate ship playground, the kids buffet at dinner with a range of options (not sure if this is every night), the evening kids disco aimed at young children etc.
The location is uninspiring - basically in a business or light industrial park. Its about 15 minute walk into the centre of town but much of it along a busy road (though there is a good quality playground and exercise area on the way).
If I was doing this again, I'd look to stay on the coast.
