Following what I believe to be my sixth of seventh stay with the folks at Trickle Creek lodge as always an honest review is best to help them make my next stay a little better .
Overall the service level was still top notch , the folks who work for Trickle Creek Lodge will not disappoint you.
However the building is now every long in the tooth and upgrades need to happen yro the elevators, rooms the furniture is old and tired but clean , TV upgraded to at least 55” in the living room , bathroom room fans and toilet noise is over the top load.
Carpeting is at its lifecycle end but clean , appliances are again tired but clean .
Hotel amenities such as spa and pool are to small for the size of hotel the pub pricing for its food service was way higher than average.
Overall still a great place to stay , just time for a make over “ senior ownership group”.
Location
State of repair. Stove burner not working, dishwasher not working, bathroom drain clogged.
THE ROOM WAS FINE AND CLEAN. BED WAS COMFORTABLE
WE WERE NOT TOLD THAT THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT OPEN SO HAD TO DRIVE BACK INTO TOWN FOR SOMETHING TO EAT. THEY HAD PHONED TO TELL US THAT THE POOL WAS CLOSED BUT NOTHING ABOUT THE RESTAURANT
It was comfortable. It had a nice view but the room I stayed in the second night they charged me more for moore for the security deposit. Whatever the first night I paid 75 the next night it doubled to 150 so I don’t think it’s very fair business practices kind of shady.
I wasn’t happy with getting moved to a smaller room for a higher price and the deposit one night 75 for the nicer room and then the in my eyes less quality room they doubled the deposit and I told her I only paid 75 the night before she said no you didn’t. We can’t do that but obviously I had the receipt on my credit card. They did do it.
The room was darling, a little kitchen and even a full size fridge. Nice little fire place and in a separate lounge area, and a small outdoor balcony.
The front desk person was a little less welcoming than you would expect but not rude. Just not forthcoming. Off season so the restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast.
Location was awesome .
Staff very friendly and helpful
Condo unit had only minimal items for a kitchen to be functional . Only one frypan / limited cooking utensils / only one set dish towel / no drain board for dishes / no cutting board / only one sharp knife
Location, views, comfy bed!
Very noisy fan in bathroom!
Best location on Kimberley ski hill. Comfortable dog friendly hotel. 1 bedroom suite is ideal. RCR could do an update but I would definitely stay there again.
Great location.
Saggy pull out couch in the room - there needs to be a better bed for the kids for more than $300 a night.
This is the 9 th year we have visited the hotel for the ski season and once again we have been brilliantly looked after by all the staff.
Service from front desk , housekeeping and the maintenance guys is just so friendly and the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere that removes all stress.
The accommodation isn’t the most luxurious but it is clean and comfortable and the rooms are large and the bed is comfortable.
The proximity to the ski hill makes ski in and ski out so easy.
I must also say that in a year when snow conditions have been variable RCR did a brilliant job in grooming the hill and keeping the ski conditions good even when Mother Nature wasn’t helping.
If you want a really great ski location then look no further than Trickle Creek.
It’s great value studio. Spacious enough for two. Really was access to ski lifts. Great restaurant and bar (Buckhorn and Main, right in the complex. We visited twice and our waitress Aeron was brilliant and gave us lots of useful advice and tips
Pool and hot tub easily accessible.
Studio lacked kitchen equipment. We would have found a casserole dish with lid useful.
The net curtains definitely need replacing
Location, location, location!
The skiing was wonderful.
Nothing.
This lodge exceeded my expectations, and I was already expecting it to be great. The rooms are clean, the fireplace is amazing and the view was a cherry on top. It was so nice to stay on the hill, I could take a break whenever I wanted to warm up.
There was no room service for cleaning or refreshing coffee, but that was minimal .
The view of the ski hill was nice, and the fireplace was comfortable.
Staff were not friendly nor helpful. Plus the elevator was broken and no one assisted us with our luggage from the 4th floor. The toilet was also broken and when we went to eat at the restaurant we were told it would be an hour wait because they were serving a large party. Overall a horrible experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kimberley.
The pool was nice and sunny.
Dated, not overly clean, grounds aren’t nice in summer, staff tired, couldn’t get extra towels or pillows.
