Excellent location
Pros:

Great location to walk the Niagara parkway, Clifton Hill attractions, and Niagara cruises boat tour. Clean nice room and very comfortable beds. From my 4th floor falls view room I could see America falls but Horseshoe falls was blocked by trees. I could see most of the nightly fireworks but some were blocked by trees. I did a breakfast add on—the food was excellent and there was a fabulous selection but they were incredibly busy and although the staff was trying, they were obviously overwhelmed.

Great location but aging hotel.
Pros:

The biggest strength of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. We stayed on the 16th floor and the view of Niagara Falls was absolutely spectacular—worth every penny. The hotel is also perfectly located at the base of the Zipline to the Falls and just a short walk from the departure point for the famous boat cruises to the waterfalls.

The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. However, the hotel itself is clearly showing its age and is in need of a major renovation. The rooms and common areas feel tired, and the bathrooms are particularly dated. The pillows should also be replaced, as they are old, flat, and lumpy.

The bathroom deserves a special mention. It is badly in need of renovation, and the shower was disappointing. The water pressure is excessively strong and cannot be adjusted properly, making it uncomfortable to use while wasting a tremendous amount of water. In an era where hotels promote sustainability, this is difficult to understand and should be an easy issue to correct.

The two biggest frustrations of our stay could also be improved without major investment.

First, the elevators. There simply aren’t enough for a hotel of this size. They are constantly full, stop on almost every floor, and waiting 5–10 minutes for an elevator is common. This became one of the most frustrating parts of our stay.

Second, the breakfast organization. Both mornings we had to wait in line before being allowed into the breakfast area—around 15 minutes on the first day. What made this especially frustrating was that many tables were sitting empty. The delay seemed to come from the process itself: one staff member checks your breakfast voucher, then you wait again for another person to escort you to a table, even though plenty of tables are available. It’s an unnecessarily inefficient system that could be fixed immediately. Once seated, however, the breakfast was good. The food quality was perfectly acceptable, and the fresh fruit selection was particularly enjoyable.

Another disappointment was the hotel’s bar and lounge offering. With a property boasting one of the best locations in Niagara Falls, you would expect a spectacular lounge where guests can relax with a drink while enjoying the scenery. Instead, the so-called “Rooftop” bar is not on the rooftop at all—it’s located on the seventh floor beside the swimming pool. It is noisy, crowded, and has very limited seating, making it far from a relaxing experience. The only other bar is in the lobby, next to the gift shop, which lacks any atmosphere or view. This feels like a huge missed opportunity. A true rooftop bar on the top floor with panoramic views of the falls would be a fantastic addition and would significantly enhance the guest experience.

One final point is the parking. The hotel’s valet parking costs $70 per night, which is very expensive. If you don’t mind a short 5-minute walk, there is an outdoor parking lot nearby that costs around $15 per day, representing significant savings.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay thanks to the incredible views, comfortable beds, and unbeatable location. However, this is a hotel with enormous potential that currently falls short because of its aging facilities and several operational shortcomings. A comprehensive renovation, modernized bathrooms, improved elevator capacity, a more efficient breakfast operation, and a genuine rooftop lounge overlooking the falls would transform it into one of the premier hotels in Niagara Falls.

hotel fantastique qui dépassera vos attentes
Pros:

Pros:

The property is so clean and friendly. I was on the 22nd floor and didn’t mind waiting for the elevators, which wasn’t very long. Easy access to parking garage. Restaurants downstairs were convenient and the roof top pool and bar with the falls view was spectacular. Thanks for a great stay in beautiful Niagara.

Serious Safety Issue in the Bathroom — Very Disappointing and Unacceptable Response
Pros:

My family and I stayed at Sheraton Fallsview Hotel during our trip to Niagara Falls, and unfortunately this stay turned into one of the most upsetting hotel experiences we have ever had.

On the day we arrived, the weather was extremely hot, so as soon as we received our room, we wanted to take showers and freshen up. However, the bathtub was unbelievably slippery. It was not just a little slippery — it was dangerously slippery. I slipped while showering and immediately thought something was wrong with the bathtub surface.

At first, I wondered if maybe I was just not being careful enough. But soon after, my daughter and my sister also took showers, and both of them slipped as well. That is when I realized this was not a simple accident or one person being careless. There was clearly a serious safety issue with the bathtub.

My sister slipped and hit her hip against the area near the faucet. She also fell hard on her bottom and injured her tailbone. She had a dark bruise on her hip, and even now, 22 days after the trip, she is still receiving treatment from an acupuncturist because of the pain. My daughter also slipped in the bathtub and hurt her ankle, and she is also receiving treatment.

This was supposed to be a family trip to enjoy Niagara Falls, but because of this hotel bathroom, my family members got hurt. That is not something I can take lightly.

I reported the issue to the front desk immediately. What shocked me even more was the hotel’s response. Instead of checking the bathtub, cleaning it properly, inspecting the surface, or taking the safety issue seriously, they simply brought us a bath mat to put inside the tub.

Honestly, I found that completely unacceptable. If multiple guests in the same room are slipping in the bathtub, the proper response should not be just handing over a mat. The hotel should have inspected the bathtub, checked whether there was a cleaning product residue, a surface issue, or any other safety problem. A guest bathroom should be safe. That is one of the most basic responsibilities of a hotel.

The situation was even more upsetting because my 70-year-old mother was with us. She already has knee pain, and after seeing how slippery the bathtub was and after hearing that several of us had slipped, she was too afraid to even shower properly. Imagine staying at a hotel and being scared to take a shower because the bathtub feels unsafe. That should never happen.

I contacted the hotel about this issue, but the response I received was extremely disappointing. I was told that because I booked through my credit card company, there was nothing they could do. I was honestly shocked by that answer. This was not just a booking issue. This was a safety issue that happened inside the hotel room, in the hotel’s own bathtub.

Whether a guest books directly, through a credit card company, or through another platform, the hotel is still responsible for providing a safe room. The response made me feel like they were trying to avoid responsibility instead of addressing what actually happened.

A hotel can have a beautiful view and a great location, but if the room itself is not safe, none of that matters. A guest should be able to shower, sleep, and stay in a hotel room without worrying about getting injured. In our case, several family members slipped, two are still receiving treatment, and my elderly mother was too scared to shower.

This experience was not just disappointing. It was upsetting, frustrating, and unacceptable.

If I ever visit Niagara Falls again, I will never stay at Sheraton Fallsview Hotel again. A family trip that should have been a happy memory became a painful and stressful experience because of this safety issue and the hotel’s poor response.

Sheraton Fallsview Hotel needs to take bathroom safety and guest complaints much more seriously. This was not a small inconvenience. This was a serious safety problem, and the way it was handled was completely unacceptable.
