One week in paradise!
Pros:

My partner and I go on one to two all inclusive holidays a year and this is by far our favourite yet! We just finished a week here and can see why the hotel uses the name paradise.

Although it was built in the 70s the hotel has been modernised while also maintaining its classic charm. The majority of rooms (the garden villas are in a separate area I believe) are in the main portion of the hotel over five storeys with a beautiful garden in the middle with real plants and a pond with fish. Our room was a decent size with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that in addition to cleaning your room in the day they also offer a turn down service.

There is the option to upgrade to reserve when you arrive. We didn’t so I can’t comment too much on this but I believe it gives you larger rooms on the higher floors. We could also see the reserve pool from our room which was slightly less busy and had comfier sunbeds.

The hotel offers a variety of amenities including multiple bars/restaurants, a gym, a spa, tennis courts and 2 pools (one is reserve). We never had any issues finding sun beds by the pool (even in the afternoons if you come down late) however the ones with umbrellas/in the shade do go quickly. We appreciated that there was no loud music by the pool so you could properly switch off.

As the vibe of the hotel is focused on relaxation, the evening entertainment was limited to live music (which was fine with us). Instead they offer more day time activities like aqua fitness, yoga/stretching, art classes, etc. You need to book some of the workshops so it’s worth checking the app in advance.

The food and drink was some of the best we have had at an all inclusive. The drinks were all freshly made using top brand alcohol and not watered down. I really liked that they offered sparkling wine with meals as well (not many resorts do). All of the restaurants were great so I would recommend going to all 3. They release the reservations only 48 hours in advance at midnight on their app so it’s a much more fair booking system.

On the whole our experience with the staff was extremely positive. There were a few who could be a bit short (which to be honest would happen anywhere you go) but most were very friendly and really accommodating with any request you had.

There were a few points of feedback which would definitely not stop us coming back but worth pointing out:
-the gym only had one treadmill which meant having to queue some days to use it. Also there is a really nice functional training studio attached but you can’t use it unless you pay an additional 12 euro a day.
-they came to restock the minibar in the room every day with fresh water, soda, beer and snacks but for some reason never gave us more coffee pods and milk. This meant we had to go down to reception each day and ask for more.
-while I really liked the concept of the bracelet room key, it stopped working 3 times during our stay. The man at reception said unfortunately this is very common and is a design flaw where the chip gets displaced and then fails.
-it took a really long time to get a drink from the ginger bar in the evening as it was always really busy. This is through no fault of the staff as you could see them running between tables. It would be more fair on them if they had a few more staff on in the evenings to help them.

Overall we had a wonderful time and definitely plan to come back again soon!

Almost a 5 star
Pros:

Lovely hotel with a gorgeous pool area and I found everything to be very clean which is really important to me. The staff were all lovely too, very friendly and helpful. There was no smoking allowed around the pool which is fantastic, as a non smoker there’s nothing worse than being stuck next to a smoker all day, sadly some people did vape which is rude and inconsiderate especially given the hotel does have an area for smokers and vapers but was glad to at least see no smoking

The only criticisms I would give is we were in room 205 and on our first night we were woken constantly by a door that kept slamming, we weren’t sure if it was the neighbouring room or one near by but the floors are all hard polished floors so noise did travel although after that first night we didn’t have any problems other than occasionally hearing the people next door walking around but luckily this wasn’t too late

I was shocked twice to find the chicken uncooked in the main buffet restaurant, it was largely pink and when I pointed it out to the person cooking they looked annoyed that I had pointed it out. Most of the time it was fine but it was a bit off putting and I was checking all the meat thoroughly after that. But other than that I found the food to be good and there should be something for everyone. The cocktails were also good.

This sounds like a negative review but I did enjoy it there and would stay again, I just think these are things people like to be aware of when booking a hard earned holiday

7 days, luxury all inclusive
Pros:

We were dropped off by airport shuttle around 21:30 and met by a hotel porter who unloaded our luggage and waited at check-in. That done we were then accompanied to our room. We then headed to the 24 hour Ginger bar in search of food, 2 club sandwiches and a glass of wine, while overlooking the pool. The holiday begins!
The Paradisius Salinas is a protected example of original Lanzarote architectural design, with an unusual light and airy interior, the central area open to the sky. Contained within is the accommodation, 2 out of 3 themed restaurants, the Ginger bar & Malva restaurant. The themed restaurants can only be booked during the evening and are popular, but to be fair, the Malva offers such a wide choice we only booked twice for the themed restaurants. Food wise both hot and cold dishes were available from the Malva buffet, with an extraordinary display of items changing day by day, ranging from baked beans & chips and to lobster & octopus, I’ve never experienced such a varied diet!
We spent much of our day by or in the pool, with pool activities (Aquazumba/gym) being a favourite. Other activities we enjoyed were the bookmark making, art & glasswork classes and evening entertainment based in and around the bar. I must also praise the staff, all of whom we spoke to were polite, engaged and helpful. Finally, a very special thank you to the activities team of Soraya, Joana, Raquel, Barabara, Zuzanana, Armando & Victor, some of whom were around to say goodbye as we were leaving.
What a lovely holiday, looking forward to returning!

Amazing stay and beautiful hotel....
Pros:

I have just returned from a two week solo stay at the hotel which was amazing. The hotel is beautiful architectually, inside and out, and I personally love how it is built around, and to accommodate nature.
Throughout my stay, I couldn’t fault a single thing. The hotel was immaculate, and my room was kept exceptionally clean every day. The staff were simply outstanding, approachable, friendly, and always willing to help. On the occasions I visited reception, they were always happy to assist me. Every member of staff, from housekeeping to reception and management, truly shapes the hotel and the exceptional experience I had during my stay. I didn't upgrade to the Reserve this time, as I know and love the local area and I like to be out and about, so I found it may not be worth it for me, and personally, I found the main pool and its surrounding area absolutely beautiful, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. I also had no issues getting drinks at the bars.
I will definitely be returning to the hotel again and cannot wait!

Nice experience
Pros:

Lovely hotel staff are excellent and à la carte restaurants are very good. 12mbps WiFi speed unacceptable in this day and age and I was unable to work. For a 5 star hotel and paradisus brand id expect way better internet speeds.

Hard to beat
Pros:

We had the most amazing time at Paradisus. Right from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. The hotel itself is stunning, and everywhere was so clean. We loved the salt water pool which was so much nicer than chlorine. The food and drinks were great and there were plenty of options to keep us happy- we don’t drink alcohol so it was nice to have some non- alcoholic options. We also really enjoyed the activities such as Latin dancing, tennis and aqua gym. The entertainment team were so wonderful and made our holiday even better. All the staff though were fantastic and it we really appreciated the care and attention everyone paid.
We used the gym a few times too and for a hotel gym it was well equipped.
On our day of check out we were allowed to use the facilities until our transfer arrived, as well as being given access to a room to shower and change before our flight.
We usually always say we would go somewhere different as we like to try new places but we will 100% be back as there aren’t many places that could beat the experience we had here. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday what it was- Gee and Callum xx

Not happy
Pros:

Be aware if you hire a car while staying at this hotel you will have to pay 16 Eros a night for parking,
I find it totally unacceptable that you pay to stay at the hotel and the parking charge is expensive.
Also be aware if you smoke or vape you are treated like second class citizens.

Stunning
Pros:

A beautiful hotel with stunning architecture.
Loved our stay here the food and drink were fantastic which is a big thing when I book a holiday. We tried all the restaurants our favourite being the Italian.
The staff were always polite and attentive, a special shout out to Fran, David and Nita.
The day entertainment was ok mostly yoga and Pilates , something a bit more lively would have been nice. The evening music was very good with something different every night.
Would definitely recommend.

A good holiday!
Pros:

We had a very lovely stay at this hotel. There were a few little bits that I would say make it more of a 4 star/4 star plus hotel. We found the service in the ginger bar in and outside not the best, it was quite slow and a lot of the time we had to go up to the bar to order a drink. I think the biggest disappointment was the food, the food was not bad at all, I think maybe we’re just fussy or it was too posh for us lol! The Italian à la carte restaurant didn’t even have a margarita pizza and the buffet was pretty much the same every night so we went out to eat pretty much every night. If I had to not pick about anything else, would be that it is quite hard to get a sun bed and they’re not the most comfortable and the pool is freezing!!!
Now for the good. The staff here are all amazing, super friendly, and very accommodating. The room was very clean, bed super comfortable, hotel was absolutely stunning. Just overall a very nice place to stay.
We also went to the spa and had the whole spa to ourselves and then had a full body massage which was a very good price! Massage was definitely the best one ever had and again the staff very kind and just very good at their job.
Definitely nice stay for couples!

Great activities team!
Pros:

Arrived on Tuesday and cannot fault this hotel in any way. I will write a further review in time but I have to say that the animation/entertainment team here are so friendly and kind.
Since arriving I have made a glass necklace, made mojo sauce, had a tour of the hotel’s amazing arts(by Caesar Manrique) attended the mixology class with Chris(a fabulous mixologist!!) All that within three days. You can do as much or as little as you please. Joana, Barbara and Soraya have made us feel so welcome and encouraged us in all the activities. This hotel is so lucky to have such amazing staff and we will definitely be returning as soon as possible.
