My wife, Stephanie, and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was an amazing experience. Everything was excellent, especially the staff. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back to Sheraton! Thank you!
Honestly, the only thing we didn’t like was that we couldn’t stay longer. Everything exceeded our expectations.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay, largely due to the property's excellent location near most sightseeing spots and outstanding staff including Nelson, Ana, Estefany, Nelsy, Rafael and Esmerlin. The hotel offers beautiful ocean views, especially from the pool area, which has comfortable seating and refreshing sea breeze. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The highlight of our stay was the team in the Executive Lounge (Nelson, Ana, Nelsy and Esmerlin). They were consistently warm, hospitable, and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our visit.
There were, however, a few disappointments. One significant drawback is that guests must cross a very busy road to access the promenade, which can feel unsafe and detracts from the overall experience.
Additionally, as a Platinum member, we requested an extension in the room we had been assigned. While we completely understood that the room might not be available for an extended stay, the rude response from the Restaurant/Food Manager (called by the front desk staff) was disappointing. The issue was not the outcome itself, but rather the manner in which the message was communicated. A more courteous and understanding approach by him would have been appreciated and would have better reflected the level of service expected at the property.
In addition, the hotel rooms are old and showing their age (fridge and outlets not working, furniture was old and had marks). A security concern was that the entrance to the fitness center including the spa area with sauna, showers and locker was not secured for entry (I.e., only by hotel guests). Even though there was a keycard scanner at the door, it could be opened without a key card so anyone from the street could walk in without using the card posing a security risk.
Despite the above mentioned concerns, the views, and exceptional Executive Lounge staff were definite highlights of our stay.

Worst customer service ever. Stayed in this hotel before pandemic and it was great. Excellent customer service. So i decided to repeat the experience but it was a disaster. First night me and my sister got there there was no water in the shower we made it to the hotel passed midnight, tire and wanting to shower to rest. Took them more than half an hour to solve the problem. We stayed for two weeks and not once bathroom was washed or soap and shampoo dispenser were refilled. Not to mention that most of the employees were constantly on their cell or away from their post making it a mission to get in or out the parking lot. My sister once had to get off the car and get the remote control and open the gate. Melanio the waitress at the breakfast restaurant was one of the best, always on point along with some of the guys at the lobby bar. Maximo, Ramon, Adrian,Angel and Juan Jose. The rest of the staff unprofessional with the worst customer service. Never again will I stay in this hotel.

Was a 5 star stay because the following personnel performance was stell: Ana Santos in concierge in the 10th floor, Jose Enrique, Wil kindly, Jacinto in Front desk, the concierge 10th floor in the afternoon shift and all the personnel in the frontal security and bell personnel. Thanks for making my stay secure and comfortable.
Las alfombras de las habitaciones están viejas y extremadamente sucias, lo que se traduce en una cantidad enorme de ácaros. Esto me produjo una reacción alérgica muy severa, lo que hizo de mi estadía en Santo Domingo bastante inconfortable.
Me registré con una tarifa que decía que el desayuno estaba incluido. Al llegar al hotel me informan que no lo estaba. tuve que pagarlo adicionalmente. Mal.
La limpieza de las alfombras o, mejor aún, cambiarlas por nuevas o, quizá, reemplazar alfombras por pisos cerámicos. Permiten una higienización perfecta.

The refrigerator did not work . They gave us a second frig .
The water in the bathroom was brown both days of my stay .
The pool water was murky. I added pictures of the murky pool and the brown bathroom that I noticed after I was in the water . I added the room view also of the ocean .
The manager excused her self and never offered another room . She said a spa massage would be free for the bad experience. I never did it . If the water was brown imagine the spa . This say was Monday to Wednesday. I’m going to review this hotel on all platforms.
