A comfortable and well-located hotel with friendly service, though the limited lift capacity was inconvenient.
Pros:

Excellent central location close to Edinburgh Waverley Station and major attractions. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Cons:

The lifts were very small, and during our stay only two were operational, which resulted in long waits, especially during busy times. Some areas of the hotel also felt a little dated.

Great stay! Highly recommend.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and we found the rooms clean and the beds really comfortable. The location was great, really close to the Royal Mile which was handy. The breakfast was delicious!

Disappointing room, great location
Pros:

The location.

Cons:

I understand the benefits hotels gain from policies related to bookings for solo travellers through Booking.com however, the room given (Rm 120), comparatively to other rooms in the same category, was substandard. I see this as a reflection on the hotel rather than the booking service which makes hotel bookings easy to navigate for international travellers. I accept the need for renovation however, the value should be adjusted accordingly.

Solo la ubicación

Cons:

La habitación (doble) era chica y tenías los muebles enormes, era imposible desplazarse por adentro de la habitación sin chocarse con algo, eso que yo estaba solo. Para dos personas imposible. El ascensor es muy chico y lento para semejante hotel y todos terminaban por las escaleras porque a veces la espera era de 10 minutos.

Perfect location with big and comfortable room. Professional staff.
Pros:

Perfect location in the old town. The size of the room is bigger than most of rooms in Europe, UK. Clean room and professional staff.

Cons:

The distance from hotel to train station is very near but we didn’t know how to reach hotel with our luggage as we should climb up the stairs for 200 steps

Gute Lage

Cons:

Wir kamen einen Tag zu spät und mussten natürlich die No-Show-Rate bezahlen. Dann gab es aber am zweiten Tag das schlechteste Zimmer mit Gerüst vor dem Fenster.

Our stay was only satisfactory given that I would expect more from a Hilton brand.

Location.
Our receptionist at front desk who checked us in was very pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. She made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of ideas and directions for places to visit.
Due to travelling overseas we arrived very early. She helped us to store our luggage and then even phoned us two hours later to let us know they had a room ready for us way before our actual check in time.

Cons:

Cost.
The price had more than doubled from what booking.com had stated it would be from when we reserved it.
We stayed two nights. Our room was not replenished with more tea, sugar, etc. Dirty cups were left and no clean provided for us.
Long wait due to only one elevator working.
