Extraordinarily good
Pros:

To get the perfect balance of luxury and a warm, genuine host is rare but Abbey Glen succeeds.
There is nothing not to love about this place.
We left feeling relaxed as if we'd stayed with family rather than in a fine hotel.
The room was perfect. The food was phenomenal. The Craic was fantastic.
I will reccommend to all and hope to return one day soon.

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit einem unglaublichen Gastgeber der in einer tollen und spannenden Art die Geschichte des Schlosses und der Umgebung vorgestellt hat. Als der Gastgeber dann beim Dinner noch mit allen Gästen Bohamien Rhapsody gesungen hat waren wir total begeistert. So eine Gastfreundschaft und Kundenbetreuung haben wir noch nie erlebt. Danke, sehr zu empfehlen

Laid back in Clifden
Pros:

It's a beautiful hotel. Our room was well located with views over the gardens. Location was great. I walked into Clifden. Not even a kilometre. We ate at the hotel two nights. Beautiful food. And breakfast was great. Brilliant service and all so kind. The owners are hands on and they have some lovely touches. Eg. Souvenir photos at dinner framed in an Abbeyglen card. Lovely.

Cons:

The shower over the bath. It's just plain unsafe. Walk in showers are safer.
