The hotel’s exterior and architecture have a wonderfully authentic character. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. Our room was equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer, and a television. I did not see any air conditioning, but given Edinburgh’s climate, I do not think you would often need it.
The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is also excellent, within walking distance of almost everywhere you might want to visit.
Overall, this is an outstanding hotel for the price and offers incredible value for money.

Location was good, but 15 min walk from the nearest tram station from the airport. Staff was very friendly.
Smelled very strongly of cleaning chemicals, both in the room and on the hallways. Nice breakfast selection that was cooked to request, but was undercooked. One side of the bed had a dent which made it very uncomfortable. Lifts were out of way and we still needed to climb a few steps of stairs to get to the room.

Die armatur in der badewanne bzw dusche ist der endgegner! Ohne brauseschlauch! Wie in einer jugendherberge.
Ok location. Friendly reception. Quiet, despite the room was on ground level and facing main entrance.
Old and worn bathroom. No cleaning during stay or changing of towels. Used cups where put back in place unwashed. Had to ask for new towels each day. Using the hairdryer was impractical since it was not possible to connect it at the bathroom or in front of a mirror.
