Beautiful on the outside.
Pros:

The outside and grounds were beautiful. The room was very comfortable. The staff were friendly.

Cons:

The dining floor was not clean and was in need of renovation. The breakfast options kept running out and were not always replaced. The eggs were cold. There was dust on the staircase.

Lovely setting and convenient…needs a bit of a spruce up
Pros:

Convenient location for Wembley Stadium, parking included and plenty of it, lovely setting, lovely property and old traditional features, good value, very comfy bed, clean on the whole.

Cons:

Needs a bit of a freshen up I would say. A few bits were a bit scruffy - not dirty. My blind was broken and I faced onto the entrance so although I had a lovely view people could potentially see me in my room. Bigger brew mugs needed too in the room please. Also the shower took a while to warm up but was fine after a few minutes.

Pros:

The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever laid in and the pillows were perfect. It's a beautiful building with big airy rooms. I was concerned it'd be very hot in summer but it was surprisingly cool and they provided a fan.

Beautiful location, but in need of a good renovation
Pros:

the tudor building is set in lovely grounds, with only a distant hum from the road. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms (or at least mine) is in deperate need of a complete renovation. The paint is flaking, the bathroom needs to be ripped out and redone and they should add air conditioning. Hopefully other rooms are better.

There are also no lifts and lots of stairs.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's a "luxury retreat".

Nice hotel, a bit tied.
Pros:

One of the reception staff was exceptionally helpful and went the extra mile. She seemed to be a senior or shift leader. She was there when we checked in.

Pros:

Location is good

Cons:

Curtains don’t block out the light and therefore sun came through at about 3:30am. Also rubbish truck came to collect rubbish at 4:30am

It was a nice stay
Pros:

It was near to where we were attending a wedding. Staff were lovely and helpful, carrying our luggage upstairs for us.

Cons:

No air conditioning on a very hot night.
On a usual night this wouldn’t be an issue but it was a heatwave.
