Short getaway from London.
Pros:

The tranquility, the space, cleanliness, discretion and attentiveness of staff, the greenery surrounding the hotel,, fragrance of the toiletries, more than adequate choices of breakfast, ample car parking spaces. The little history behind the hotel..
Caran did an excellent job attending to our table during dinner.

Cons:

Our stay was too short to enjoy the afternoon tea.

I expected more for the money I paid, I've stayed in better Holiday Inns regarding the room.
Pros:

The staff member I spoke to was excellent and the foyer area looked very nice, fitting in with the building and history of the place. Nice selection of teas, biscuits and hot chocolate at the tea making station.

Cons:

The room and bed was small, we were in bedroom 5. It had a view out of the window of the metal fire escape. There were hairs on the saucer in the tea making area and a stain on one of the towels supplied. The room was in need of a refresh decor wise and we could hear everything from the room next door, not that they were being loud, we could just hear normal conversation. It was not clear whether the gurgling sound was coming from the people above us having showers, or from the air-conditioning unit (that we didn't put on).

Absolutely lovely. A beautiful building. Very helpful, pleasant staff. Very relaxing. Thank you.
Pros:

The breakfast was nice to eat and there was the choice of eggs. There was plenty to go with the cooked breakfast as well.

Cons:

The bacon was a bit thin and the fried egg was over cooked but was still edible.
