Guests are advised to reserve a table in the restaurant before arrival, in order to avoid disappointment. Woodlands Park Hotel hosts weddings and celebrations throughout the year. Disruption will be kept to a minimum.

Good accessable location, comfortable room
On arrival got reassigned to what we were told is a pet-friendly room (travelling with two chihuahuas) after paying a pets surcharge, but after 1 short overnight stay we were charged a full additional room rate because 'the room needed to be taken out of commission for deep cleaning' because of a small dry bit of poo that was accidentilly left in the room. So nice hotel if you don't have pets, but may get very expensive if there's a mishap. Management was contacted to discuss a mutually acceptable solution, but was told that this was as per their procedures, so please be aware.
Superb comfortable stay in awesome building with the very best breakfast ever. The dog loved it the room too , in his special basket and dog treats he wolfed down . Great park around hotel to walk him

The foyer, though grand, was a bit dark and some of the furniture - e.g. the occasional tables - could have done with an upgrade

I would have rated this stay more than 3 stars is it wasn’t for one of the worst nights sleep ever ! At 4 am the air conditioning unit started whirring and nothing we did turned it off. Finally it stopped of its own accord only to start again for 10mins every hour? When we complained to the front desk the concierge told us it wasn’t the first time he had heard that! If the hotel knew there was a problem why put us in room 31!
On the upside some of the nicest and most friendly staff I have ever come across ! Just not sure we will come back
