There are some great staff at this hotel.
However, the prevalence of smoking in all public areas - especially at breakfast - makes it completely unfit for purpose in 2026.
If you don’t smoke, don’t even think of coming here.
If you do (like most Greeks), fill your boots and enjoy the disgusting atmosphere collectively.
I stay in Athens Marriott hotel for 2 nights before every cruise I take from Piraeus - around 12 nights in the last two years. The hotel is very convenient for the airport, the city and Piraeus port. It offers good facilities and friendly staff.
My last two visits have been exceptionally enjoyable thanks to the employee overseeing the Executive Lounge. She is personable, communicates well and makes every visitor fell welcome. For me, she is an excellent ambassador for the Marriott brand world wide.

As a gold elite member, I've been to many Marriotts around the world. The service was excellent. In particular, Themis at the lobby bar was great and went above and beyond, kind, sharing his knowledge about the area. We would stay there again.

Rooms
We had two adjacent rooms in the hotel. The rooms are not big (similar to NYC) but are all standard issue. One note I would add is that while rooms are kept well - they are a bit tired and will need an upgrade at some point.
Workout facilities
This property has a full gym, sauna and a rooftop swimming pool. The gym and sauna are really well maintained and equipped. Pool - is more for shoe tbh.
Restaurants
There is an M club. Also - there are two restaurants. The breakfast/dinner service is very good and there is a ton of variety. I am a fan of Greek cuisine-you won’t be disappointed.
Staff
Friendly, competent and ready to help.
All in - good property. Location could be better, but otherwise really solid.

Es waren zwar zwei kleine Wasserflaschen am Zimmer, aber der Kühlschrank war leer leer. Ich hötte auch gezahlt aber es gab nichts
