The breakfasts were fantastic. The location was walkable to pretty much everywhere and it is in a beautiful and historic part of Paris.
The bathroom! The bathtub was very narrow and very slick. There were no bath mats and no handles, and the sides were high, which made us 50-something nervous about getting in and out. trying to shower I was sliding around and was convinced I was going to take a major fall. And I am athletic and thin. It’s just not the right bathroom for a lot of people.
This was our third visit to this stunning boutique hotel, which is located on a very charming street full of cafes, restaurants and small shops.
We stayed in the lovely junior suite, which conveniently separates the sleeping area from the cozy living room area. That enabled me to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee on the sofa without disturbing my husband who continued to sleep peacefully in the VERY comfortable bed.
The De Buci staff is exceptional.....very professional, courteous and helpful. The outstanding Sanjay has well earned his elite status as Les Clefs D'Or concierge. Guests can always count on him for assistance in making reservations, giving advice, etc. He makes each and every guest feel very welcome and special.
The breakfast is delightful, and it's served in a beautifully area with natural light. The buffet consists of a very nice selection of savory and sweet selections, and the service is truly excellent.
If you appreciate European elegance and are looking forward to a high level of service, Hotel de Buci has it all.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel De Buci. It was our first time in Paris and we really had no idea what to expect and were so delighted at how the staff was above and beyond helpful, friendly and warm. The hotel itself is in a perfect location and epitomizes Parisian Chic. 10/10 For this gem of a hotel
Hotel de Buci was a great boutique hotel to stay. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating especially Sanjay. The location is so convenient to everything and even though it is in a busy area…the rooms were very quiet and windows soundproof. Would love to stay here again.
A wonderful stay at Hotel de Buci. The location in Saint-Germain is fantastic, with great cafes, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Getting there is easy - a 35 minute journey from CDC airport on the RER followed by a pleasant 10 minute walk.
What made our stay special was the outstanding service. A particular thank you to head concierge Sanjay whose knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help made every aspect of our trip effortless. Also, the smile you’ll receive from `Sally at breakfast will, will lift your spirits.
Our stay at Hotel De Buci was just perfect! The hotel is on a bustling street with so many cafes and shops, it’s exactly what I imagined Paris to look like! We were welcomed by their wonderful staff…so helpful and friendly…particularly Sanjay, the Chief Concierge. He went out of his way to greet us every morning and gave us tips on how to make our trip more special. Our room was so pretty, and had everything we needed for the two of us. Our favorite part was the window that opened out to the street so that we could hear the sounds of the city. Another favorite was stopping for a latte in the lobby on our way out each morning, delicious! Can’t say enough about this wonderful hotel, we would definitely stay there again if we are lucky enough to go back!!
All staff were exceptional throughout the hotel
We had a wonderful family stay at Hotel De Buci! The rooms were clean and quiet and comfortable and the service was amazing. We had quiet courtyard views and we enjoyed the room amenities, such as the coffee and tea in room, bathrobes and the vanity space with great mirrors was a wonderful addition. The front desk staff was always helpful to provide directions to various sites and the wonderful concierge Sanjay helped us reserve spots at great restaurants and sights to visit in Paris. We would definitely go back and stay here again. If we had more time we would have definitely used the spa which looked amazing. The location was fabulous, near tons of restaurants and cafes and we could walk everywhere anytime of day. We enjoyed the cocktail hour at the hotel and met other guests from various locations. We even stopped to visit their hotel Terras in Montmartre when we were in that area and that hotel was also beautiful!
The bathroom situation was completely unacceptable for a hotel charging premium rates. The space was unbelievably small, cramped, and poorly designed, with barely enough room to move around comfortably. To reach the toilet or sink you had to first squeeze past the bathroom door and close it. To make matters worse, the walk in shower was missing a door, causing water to splash throughout the bathroom and making the entire setup feel unfinished and cheap rather than upscale.
After I complained, I was moved to another equal size room, but the bathroom in the new room was just impractical, so the change solved nothing. What makes this even more disappointing is that this was not even an entry-level room category. The only positive aspect of the stay was that the staff was friendly although they appeared to be young and were unable to resolve the underlying issues. For a hotel positioning itself as higher-end, in a premium locale, the experience fell far below reasonable expectations. I would not stay here again.
