Professional property host/manager
My friend and I needed a place to decompress, given the situation we are in, as well as his own health challenges.
I had a totally different choice but he convinced me to join him at the One & Only Royal Mirage due to its prestige as one of the OGs of Dubai's upscale hotel brands.
We were given a notification that we could check in before noon so we aimed to be there at 11:00am. However, our room was not ready so we waited a little bit. There was an area with beverages and small bites, which was a welcome treat. The staff were warm and friendly, especially the Asian man (I failed to get his name but he looked like he was SouthEast Asian)
The property is not overly huge, but what was wonderful was it was divided into smaller areas (Palace, Arabian Court and Residence) which gave it a cozier, more intimate feel.
To fill in our time, we asked for advise on how to go to one of the malls at The Palm and was directed to take the buggy to the monorail. It was a bit messy, as the buggy driver had to pick up other guests somewhere but didn't really explain to us why there was a bit of a wait since he was not fluent in English. Finally, we arrived at the monorail station only to find out that it was closed... and that it was closed for the last 2-3 months. That detail should have been told us by the staff at the reception. But that was the only hiccup in the entire stay.
Our room was fairly well sized, with two queen sized beds, a coffee maker (Nespresso... a nice touch). The TV was a little on the small side but no issue there. The bathroom had a tub, but had a separate shower. His and hers sink was well appreciated. The toiletries were made from a local brand, Montroi.
The pool was not too crowded but that was probably because I went there an hour before closing.
The gym was well equipped and the staff were amazing. Access to the sauna and steam room gave me a total relaxing cool down.
Breakfast was decent, with both decadent and healthy options. It was nice to start the day with the bright and sunny Hakima and Phoo welcoming you and the all-smiling man at the egg station making your special plate.
Checkout was a breeze.
Amazing resort. Location, cleanliness, views, services, professionalism, quality of food...ALL Amazing and second to none. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you for your hospitality
Super courteous when the hotel was empty. Restaurant and pool staff remained very friendly and efficient as they could be as things got busier.
Clearly the hotel had been overbooked as we were hounded by constant calls from the front desk trying to make us check out early, despite having agreed a late check out when we checked in. Front desk then denied ever having made the agreement. Even the promised pool pass, offered as an apology, never arrived in my email. Disingenuous.
Took the shine of what was already an extremely expensive(£1000+) 48 hour staycation.
Not value for money and a mistake that won’t be repeated.
It was a very good stay. Special thanks to Sanoop Sadan who made our experience very nice and memorable. So many gestures that everyone appreciated so much.
Would definitely come back
In spite of the current conflict with Iran, as usual had an absolutely wonderful time and everything open although very quiet. All staff were all superb, caring and professional. No need for anyone to be nervous about going and prices are much lower at the moment. Omar the chef organised a superb simple evening meal which was not the usual TV chef type stuff one finds on so-called up-market menus.
We have just spent a wonderful week at the One and Only Royal Mirage in Dubai. The hotel and grounds were marvellous, the food was brilliant, and the staff were always efficient, kind, and cheerful. Especially during the challenges of the week, we felt so safe and truly looked after. We can’t recommend it enough. This is our second visit .
We stayed at Arabian Court but every morning we walked to Celebrities for breakfast, and it quickly became the best part of our day. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food quality was excellent, and the whole team was very welcoming.
We would especially like to mention Dilki, who made our mornings truly special. She always greeted us with a lovely smile and such a positive attitude. During a stressful time, her kindness, calm personality, and friendly conversations made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
Every day she checked on us, shared stories, and made sure we started the day with a smile. It was clear that she genuinely cares about the guests and loves what she does.
Thank you to the whole team at Celebrities for the wonderful service, and a special thank you to Dilki for making our breakfasts so memorable. We hope to come back again soon.
Great find, for the past 30 years we have visited Dubai nearly every year, for about 25 of those years we stayed at the Jumeira Beach Hotel but about 6 years ago it stared to decline rapidly and totally lost it's high class edge and we looked for an alternative. We tried several hotels including the Atlantis (Americanised, trashy, fast food), the Jumeirah Al Naseem (soul-less) and here One&Only Royal Mirage.
The One&Only is exceptional, the restaurant choices are streets ahead of the Jumeirah Beach, especially the Celebrities restaurant for adult only breakfast where the choice is smaller than the large buffet breakfast but such high quality food.
The pool area is refined and quiet, the club lounge for the club rooms is excellent. Our number one choice for us in Dubai now.
This is a wonderful hotel. The room we had was excellent. Breakfast was very good indeed and the service throughout can’t be faulted. We also really enjoyed the pool area.
We didn’t eat in the grounds (apart from breakfast) so can’t comment.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server Min Hein was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience overall — we’ll definitely be back!
I stayed in this hotel for 1 night and did a deposit of 1000 dhs that suppose to be back in my account 7 days after check out but it did not happend, so I contacted them to ask for my money back but they said that I have to wait 15 days for the bank to do the reimbursement, they always said that they have to transfer me to another department which never was available, they asked me.to wait for a call back or email that never received. After several calls I requested for manager Willie who did the process that should have been done when i checked out to reléase the money, he said to wait again 15 days to get my money back in my account but so far I still not have my money. This Issue has completely messed up the experience and dont know why I still have to deal with this headache after 3 months of staying there. Im totally upset and pissed off
Hospitality is not about tasks or routines.
It’s about connection.
And Dilki (Asian girl) creates that connection effortlessly.
We met Dilki at both Celebrities and the Pool Bar, and honestly, I have never experienced this level of care before.
The Pool Bar was very busy, yet she never made us feel rushed or forgotten. Instead, she kindly asked us to wait, kept checking on us, and then surprised us with the most beautiful table — all done calmly, gracefully, and without any pressure. That moment alone showed her true professionalism.
As a lady, seeing how hard she works is truly inspiring. Always polite, always smiling, always attentive — even during the busiest hours. She balances two outlets with such confidence and warmth, and it shows how much pride she takes in what she does.
This is not just service.
This is dedication.
This is hospitality at its finest.
People may forget the food or the view one day but they will never forget how Dilki made them feel.
One of the strongest, kindest, and most genuine team members I’ve ever met. Celebrities and Pool Bar are lucky to have her.
Some people do their job well.
Some people do their job with heart.
Dilki does it with soul.
From the very first hello, she didn’t make us feel like guests walking into a Celebrities restaurant she made us feel like we belonged there. Her warmth wasn’t loud or dramatic; it was gentle, genuine, and deeply comforting. The kind that stays with you long after you leave.
There was a quiet magic in the way Dilki served us. No rushing, no pressure just a calm presence, a kind smile, and an unspoken understanding of exactly what we needed. At one point, I caught myself smiling for no reason at all simply because of the energy she brought to the table.
What touched me most was how human she felt in a space that can often feel routine. Every small gesture carried meaning. Every interaction felt real. It’s rare to meet someone who turns a normal day into a warm memory without even trying.
We came for food.
We left with a feeling.
And that feeling had Dilki’s name written all over it.
Our stay at the One and Only Residence was exceptional. Our host Syed, made our stay special as nothing was too much trouble. The Residence is very elegant and tranquil. All the staff were very much on point, professional and very attentive. Chilled out luxury.
ijaz is a goood trainer,he gives me helpful exercises and learn a bit of boxing, and amazing gym , good 5 star standard
We had a wonderful stay at One&Only Royal Mirage, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was Dilki at Celebrities Breakfast Restaurant.
During our 7-night stay, she greeted us every morning with the same beautiful smile and positive energy. She remembered our tea and coffee preferences, ensured our breakfast was always perfect, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Her special breakfast energy drinks were a daily highlight.
We also saw her working at the pool bar the same warmth and enthusiasm never faded. Because of her, breakfast became something we truly looked forward to. We are already planning to return next April, and one of the main reasons is to see Dilki again.
She is a true gem and a perfect example of heartfelt hospitality.
Whenever I am in Dubai I always make time for a royal hammam in the One & Only Spa. The service is impeccable and I feel completely rejuvenated after the treatment. Great service and totally authentic hammam experience.
It’s full of grotty people living in dubai on cheap day passes behaving terribly - nabbing all the sun beds at 8am, talking loudly about their Turkish bum lifts on phones, playing iPads on full vol, generally grabby and rude behaviour. Long queues for meals and the tiny gyms full of day pass people too. No longer a luxury hotel it’s a free for all
A great trip and a lovely team of people a big shout out to Shubham for being so attentive and friendly
Visiting this place for the first time. It was incredible starting from the staff showing us around .
The food was amazing. We had peach ale and sand dune sunset paired with smoked chicken quesadillas.
The menu presentation was nice and not forgetting the attention to detail .
Thanks to the amazing staff ( Francine and Albin)for the wonderful experience.
Definitely coming back .
