Beautiful location but would not likely stay again due to comfort/cost and overall vibes.
Pros:

Friendly staff— not including front desk staff. Check in was very slow and it was clear the front of house was understaffed. In room dining and blacktail bar had delicious food. S’mores in evening was a nice amenity. The waterpark and pool/hottub are fantastic for kids and best part of the hotel. The workshop activities were well organized and also great for families.

Cons:

The beds were very uncomfortable, hotel is becoming very dated and could be cleaner. Overpriced and under delivered.
Error in room charge on check out— staff were rude and condescending about this despite it being their mistake.

Pros:

A beautifully situated and wonderfully peaceful place to stay. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable, while the location offers easy access to countless scenic trails and lovely walks. In the evening, you can unwind by the outdoor fire pit and toast marshmallows under the sky. After an active day, Kananaskis Nordic Spa is also well worth a visit for proper rest and relaxation. A charming bonus is watching the daily life of the local chipmunks and ground squirrels around the property.

Cons:

Having to carry your luggage from parking lot and then a LONG way down a hallway to your room. Not senior friendly in that respect.
