I want to give special recognition to the staff at the Oceana Santa Monica LXR. Lenny, Antoine, and Aaron went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and memorable.

The hotel and rooms are fantastic. Food at Sandpiper was superb.

It was such a treat arriving at this special resort in Santa Monica CA. Room was incredible with large sitting room and bedroom with 4 poster bed with great views of the beautiful beach. Hotel helped me find FedEx package with my credit card. Management does everything possible to make you feel welcome and appreciated! Thoroughly enjoyed having our farewell meal in Le Monique Restaurant with black mirror ceiling, only 14 tables and 7 wait staff. Wait staff and chef made dinner a dramatic spectacle for each course! I look to coming back and enjoying the beach and the many amenities of the hotel!

We stayed at this property last week and had a wonderful experience. First, let me say that the property is absolutely beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and resourceful throughout our stay. The location is ideal, with easy walking access to everything Santa Monica has to offer.

We did experience a delay with one of the amenities, but Kezai, the Director, handled the situation promptly and professionally. He went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and made us feel valued as guests.

Thank you, Kezai, and the entire staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning!

Love the Oceana! Everyone on staff is terrific, helpful, welcoming and eager to help - the front desk staff, valet, restaurant and housekeeping. Rooms are gorgeous and clean and you can’t beat the location right off the beach.

As a Lifetime Diamond member with over 1,000 Hilton nights under my belt across 42 years, I thought I had seen every possible version of a Hilton welcome — the good, the great, and the “oh look, a fruit plate.” But nothing, and I mean nothing, prepared me for the Hilton XLR Oceana Santa Monica.

From the second you pull up, you’re greeted by Lenny, who is basically the human equivalent of a warm California sunrise. This man doesn’t just love his job — he romances it. He gives you a tour of the property with the enthusiasm of someone showing off their newborn baby, except the baby is a heart‑shaped pool, a state‑of‑the‑art gym, an incredible restaurant, and more heavenly comfortable pool lounging chairs than I’ve ever seen in one place. And yes, each one has an umbrella, because this is Oceana and they refuse to let you squint.

There’s coffee by the pool in the morning, and citrus water and lemonade all day, which means you stay hydrated enough to justify the number of times you say “wow” out loud.

Arrive early and your room isn’t ready? They will work like they’re trying to defuse a bomb — but honestly, hanging out by that perfectly heated (but not too heated) pool makes waiting feel like part of the plan.

The housekeeping team deserves medals. Plural. They make your room look untouched — like you’re the first person to ever sleep there, even though this property once housed Stan Laurel and Dick Van Dyke. If these walls could talk, they’d probably say, “You’re welcome.”

Now, the room. I’m in a standard room, which is hilarious because there is nothing standard about it. Four‑poster bed. Balcony. Marble bathroom. Seating area. Decor that’s trendy but not trying too hard — like it woke up this fabulous.

The whole property is luxurious without the pretense. Even the guests seem to be floating around in a state of bliss, as if they’ve all had a sip of the same magical Kool‑Aid.

Shout‑out to the maintenance team, who work quietly in the background making everything shine like a movie set.

And then… the front desk dream team.

Lenny (yes, again — he deserves two mentions), who has been here nearly two decades and is basically the unofficial mayor of Oceana.

Daniel, who I’m convinced works 25 hours a day because he was everywhere — online chat, front desk, probably secretly running the place.

Josh and Antoine, who remembered my name and were so friendly they could probably talk a grizzly bear into a spa day. But they both work in tandem, make you feel seen and make you feel at home. A really incredible beach home.

Ask where something is, and they won’t just point — they’ll walk with you. The lobby fireplace makes you feel like you’ve stepped into your own beach house. And that’s the word I’ve been searching for: home.

This place feels like home.

A very fancy, very sunny, very Santa Monica home.

Yes, it’s pricier than some places.

But I’ve forgotten almost every hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I will never forget my one night here.

This isn’t a stay.

It’s an experience.

Everything is perfect! We are upgraded to a big room! Mr. Lenny Perlmutter is very friendly and he is so nice to help us with our luggage! Definitely would come back next time!

First off, a huge thanks to Erick Ordaz. Erick has gone out of his way to make sure my last few stays at his magnificent hotel were perfection. If there is a better boutique hotel in and around Los Angeles, please tell me. The Oceana is a hideaway I never even knew existed until a year ago. I have now stayed there five times. It's directly across the street from the Palisades Park and boardwalk. The ocean view rooms are spectacular and each designed in their own unique way. My dog was welcomed more than I was and received so much attention, he did not want to leave. The pool is gorgeous and is the highlight of the courtyard. The restaurant, La Monique, has never served me a bad meal. Their ribeye steak is better than BLVD, BOA, or Steak 48. I also order their Caesar salad with black garlic (delicious). But the star of the menu is the pommel gratin. Holy Fuc! The bill is always suitable for framing, so don't be shocked at the prices. But, as always, you get what you pay for. They have a silly and old-fashioned rule about not letting even service dogs in the dining room, but the pool view from the outside patio with heat lamps is nearly as luxurious.

The valet and doormen know me by name now and always treat me like family. This is an expensive hotel and worth every bit of it. It's my new home-away-from home.

Oceana’s location is optimal for a scenic stroll along the coastline and is central to nearby attractions. My family and I enjoyed a fantastic, recharging weekend here, made even better by the chic decor, an open-air courtyard and inviting atmosphere from the minute we entered. We felt very taken care of every moment, and we thank Joshua, Lenny, and Michael for their hospitality and commitment to providing us a memorable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Our room was very spacious and beautifully designed, with a stylish and comfortable atmosphere that made our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved the lavender amenities provided by the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I slept very well every night, which made our vacation even more relaxing.

What truly made the difference was the outstanding service from the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Special thanks to Laura, Mike and Peter for their warm hospitality and helpful assistance throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

This is was our first time staying at Oceana and it was nothing short of dreamy. The rooms were beautiful, spacious whilst maintaining a cosy feeling. It feels like a home away from home. The pool is heated and the day beds are perfect for lounging. Overall the staff were great. We had exceptional service from Lenny who was friendly and warm and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. I’d highly recommend booking here. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Santa Monica!

We had a great stay at Oceana. Everything was perfect - beautiful hotel with amazing staff. Thanks Antoine’s and Laura for taking great care of us. Our room was large, beautifully designed and super comfortable. Lovely breakfast in front of the pool - very yummy. The ocean view lounge on the 3rd floor was perfect in the evening. And the location is second to none. We will be back! Favorite hotel in LA.

Had a great experience. The rooms are beautiful. I found Antoine at the front desk very welcoming and down earth —no snottiness. As always, I would prefer self parking, but the valet was top-notch. Would definitely stay again This was a quality Hilton diamond experience! Bravo!

I’ve been to Oceana twice and each time was an exceptional experience. Antuine and Erick were so nice, they upgraded us to a suite with a view which made all the difference. I also appreciate the beautiful ambient lighting in each room, the bathrooms have this gorgeous light blue ocean feel that only elicits peaceful and happy emotions. The layout of the rooms were done well. A few things I appreciate are the fixtures in the bathroom, they hang very low that the lighting at the bottom gives your face a glow when you’re looking in the mirror. The warm recessed lighting throughout was mindfully and perfectly planned, you’re never standing under harsh lighting. They have a number of restaurant options attached to the hotel. Although my husband and I were here for business it is such a nice place to vacation. It’s fairly close to palisades and downtown. I would highly recommend.
