Beautiful location, clean and comfy room, very friendly staff and gorgeous breakfast. Lovely swimming pool too.
Nothing.
Dinner was lovely and the breakfast was excellent. It was a pretty warm evening, so it was nice to be able to sit outside after dinner. The views from the hotel were amazing, you could see for miles!
There was only a fan in the bedroom. It was very warm so the room would definitely have benefitted from air conditioning. The room was in the shade which helped.
Everything
Bar prices
Very friendly staff, we would especially like to mention Josh Bennett, a lovely young man who deserves praise.
Disabled Parking Bays, not marked up very well, certainly no where near enough and several non-disabled vehicles parked in these bays. Certainly prevented us from parking back here on our second day.
The breakfast smoothies and the Greek yoghurt were delicious.
The dinner menu was varied and the food was first class in presentation and flavour
The room was spacious and comfortable and the views were spectacular
Too many stairs and no lift. If I had been aware of this I would have requested a room on the ground floor.
The TV wasn't repaired until the day after I had reported it.
Generally, everything.
Bathroom very tired looking. Definitely needs upgrading.
Lovely room with great view of the golf course and the Abbey. Fantastically comfy bed with lovely bed linen and the air conditioning and fridge very welcome. All the staff were friendly and we enjoyed playing golf and used the pool. Bar and lounge areas also nice.
Breakfast at the weekend pretty chaotic with queues and waits for replenishments. Please sort this out as it is the only thing letting the hotel down.
The bed was comfortable, the toiletries were of a high standard, I love that the bathroom has a complimentary shower cap breakfast choice was superb - high quality foods - the leisure centre was exceptional, the staff were helpful. Just perfect.
That I couldn't take the bed with me
We had a lovely room overlooking the golf course. The room had everything we needed including tea/coffee making, coffee machine and biscuits and water replenished daily. The hotel was peaceful and in a beautiful location. We ate dinner in the hotel which was fantastic and couldn't fault a thing. The same for the included breakfast, such a lovely selection and clean.
My only minor issue was breakfast, it was so busy and there were not enough tables, we probably went at peak time but plates, glasses, etc were running out regularly and it was harder than I would have liked to order food off the menu and get tea/coffee to the table. I couldn't fault the waiting staff though, they were working their socks off and were very pleasant and helpful.
Great views
Lots of stairs
Beautiful hotel with wonderful views. We upgraded to a suite which I can highly recommend. We also went half board the food was excellent quality, beautifully presented and served in stunning surroundings. The bed was really comfy the furnishings high quality. Drinks were high quality wines and cocktails.
Air-conditioning struggled but we were there during 38 degree heatwave
Staff, especially Kieran at front desk, were very helpful. Decent breakfast.
Lack of lift to rooms and low ceiling height in corridors
Lovely grounds
Beautiful hotel and lovely grounds, and the bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the front-of-house customer service was disappointing. We were struggling with a pram on the stairs right in front of reception, and no one offered to help despite there being no queue. Staff also assumed we were checking out instead of listening to our question. A lovely hotel, but the front desk service let it down.
This is a charming hotel in a beautiful setting, close to Tewkesbury. The staff were friendly and efficient and the premises very clean. The swimming pool was just perfect and breakfast delicious. Very good value when we stayed there in June.
The hotel has lovely public rooms but unfortunately they are on split levels so a bit awkward to use for someone with mobility issues. The hotel doesn't have a lift so be sure to ask for a room on the ground floor if stairs are a challenge. Not enough disabled parking spaces near the hotel entrance.
We visited here for a weekend spa break to celebrate my birthday. The hotel grounds were beautiful. I believe we were in a recently upgraded room, it was stunning and had air con which was very welcome in this heatwave. We really enjoyed our evening meal here, breakfast was high quality with great selection, and the spa facilities were a great amenity too. I had a massage during our stay which was lovely. This is the first time we’ve stayed here but I most definitely will return.
